The Lip Tint I Didn’t Use as a Tint… and Loved Anyway

I saw these one day at the BYS gondola in my local Watsons and made a mental note to buy it. I was new to BYS then and I didn’t want to keep buying new things. I was still testing them on my very sensitive skin. Then one day, my Glow Guide Sarah told me that they were on BOGO!

Of course I had to get them right away!

These are peptide lip tints. Now, I don’t know about you, but I like researching terms that they add to makeup. I want to know what I’m putting on my skin,

So, here are a few benefits of peptides in lip tints:

Peptide Lip Tint – Benefits

Deeply hydrates lips and helps prevent dryness and flaking

Supports the lip barrier so moisture lasts longer

Smooths texture, making lips look softer and more even

Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines on the lips

Gives a subtle plumping effect for a fuller, healthier look

Improves how lipstick sits on the lips (less patchy, less cracking)

Works as both makeup and lip care (skincare + color in one)

Provides a soft, cushioned feel without heaviness

As you can see, these look like gloss. I’m used to tint that’s thinner. These are thick and a little sticky. So, I use them as gloss over my lipsticks that feel too matte.

The hydration power from the peptides is great for my dry lips, too:

Finally, I use it to tone down a shade that’s too much for the day’s makeup.

I have never tried to use it as a lip tint and will never use it as is because of the texture…and I like it that way.

This shade lives in my going out beauty kit

This shade lives in a drawer on my beauty desk

One tip though, don’t keep the lip tints on the key ring as they pop out easily. You will lose your lip tints or someone might steal them. The idea is cute, but it’s not functional.

Having these in my beauty arsenal has made me more creative with my looks. My lipsticks are now more versatile because of these.

I didn’t need another lipstick. I just needed something that knew how to calm or elevate one down.
