Olay Simply Nurture Coconut Milk Wash

Coconut scented products are having a big moment in my life right now. I used to hate coconut scents but it's funny. After giving birth, I was kinda drawn to it. I have no idea why. I guess pregnancy changes you in more ways than one.

You all know my current favorite shower creams are from Olay. So, imagine my glee when I found this at Rustan's. It even has a free travel sized partner!

This smelled good, very subtle coconut scent. It is also very moisturizing. I think it's even better than the other variants. Probably because it's made with coconut milk. I hope I'll be able to see it again when I need to repurchase. It wasn't there last weekend but I did find another coconut product which I will share with you soon.

How to Make the Best Out of Benefit Lemon Aid

I'm sure a lot of you have a love-hate relationship with Lemon Aid. I know I did. When I first tried it, I liked it. As I continued to use it, I started to hate it. There's that creasing and caking issue with it. I don't have oily lids and I still experience those problems. (Surprisingly though, people with oily lids swear by this product). Also, I feel that it does nothing to prolong my eye makeup.

I still had to contend with this much (see below) so I started experimenting with it and used it for different ways. If you are like me, here's how you can get the best out of your Lemon Aid.

Corrector

It's basically a corrector so you can use it to neutralize redness and dark circles. Take a small amount with a Q-tip and transfer to your ring finger. Heat it up by rubbing your two ring fingers together. Dab on your under eye area. Be sure to blend, blend, blend! If you have dry skin, I would recommend blending it with a liquid concealer.

Highlighter

I like a shimmery highlighter but there are some times when I just want a matte highlighter. Lemon Aid is very useful in those instances. I just use it as I would my regular highlighter - down the bridge of the nose, on the cheek bones and anywhere else you regularly put your highlighter.

Concealer

If you have dark spots on your face, you can use Lemon Aid to lighten the spot and top with your regular concealer. Don't forget to apply some loose powder to set it.

Eye shadow

If you want a fresh look for a day full of errands, you can skip your regular eye shadows and just use this to brighten up your eyes. Apply your regular eye cream. After 20 minutes, apply primer. Let it set for a while and then blend in Lemon Aid. If you feel "naked" without eye shadow, just apply a natural color on the crease and you are all set for a day of running errands.

So, there you go. I hope I've inspired you to take out your Benefit Lemon Aid from the depths of your vanity.

Olay Age Defying Revitalizing Body Wash

It seems that I am allergic to anti-aging products whether for the face or the body.

I tried this body wash because our favorite body wash was out of stock. I figured that since Olay bath and body products agree with my skin, this one will do too. Aside from that, it has anti-aging properties.

Well, I was disappointed. I had rashes all over my body. They didn't last long but still they were itchy. I kept scratching after every shower. It also made my skin a bit dry which is surprising since this is an Olay product. Anyhoo, I won't be buying this again. I will stick to my tried and tested favorite Olay bath products. If you have sensitive skin, I suggest you steer away from this product.
