Testing Out BYS Cloudskin Foundation on Rosacea Skin and Mumuso Breathable Vegan Nail Polish

It was a gloomy Friday. My chores were done. My son was doing independent work. What's a girl gotta do? Product testing, of course!

BYS CloudSkin Foundation

I was excited for this BYS CloudSkin Foundation because their eye liner really worked well for me. I have textured skin because of papulopustular rosacea (from many years of steroids, NSAIDs, and anti-depressants from 2 misdiagnosed autoimmune diseases), so I'm not really a fan of matte foundations. My friend, who recommended this, said that it's more of a blurring type than full-on matte, so I tried it.

This is the medium shade.

Here it is on my face. It matches my skin, but it also emphasized the pustules on my face. It still has a matte finish going on there. It also gave me a white cast. I couldn't decide if it was pretty or too much. It really gave that blurred, cloudy skin effect but I felt like I looked too white.

3.5 hours in, the part of my cheek near my nose was already cakey.

I tried mixing this with my NARS foundation, but it still had that same effect. I'm gonna try a different approach next time. It's a really good foundation and I don't want to give up just yet. I'll be sure to tell you ladies the result of that experiment.

Oh, heads up! This foundation says that it has a cooling effect. That's actually like a menthol thing, like putting mint on your face. I made the mistake of putting this under my eyes and it was not pleasant. It didn't hurt my eyes but it felt like I had Vicks on there! 😆 That minty sensation lasted a long time. Maybe over an hour. So, if you're going to purchase this, make sure you're not sensitive to scents and minty sensations. And avoid applying near the eyes. You can go for a concealer or a corrector or a combination of both for under the eyes.

While testing that out, I also tried the Mumuso Breathable Vegan Nail Polish. It's the one on the right.

I knew when I got this that it might not be my shade, but I was really curious. I was still hoping it will turn out nicely. I was wrong. See here:

That was one swipe and immediately I was like, "Nope. Not for me." I tried to apply some of my glittery polish over it (the ones in the same picture above), but they clashed. Nothing worked. But then again, I only have 2 shades of nail polish. So, I'm just gonna give this to my goddaughter the next time I send her a care package. Argh! I really wanted to try out this formula! There are only 2 shades in my Mumuso branch. I wish there were more!

Have you tried this nail polish? What's the verdict? Share in the comments below!

When I took a break, I ate some leftover macaroni and these chips that we soooo love! I posted this on my Insta.

I especially love these puffed up chips!

Also loving my personal Simplus Humidifier

And that's how I spent one rainy Friday afternoon. Now, excuse me while I apply some rose cuticle oil

How do you spend rainy Friday afternoons?
