Great Finds @ The Emporium

If you can remember a few months back, I was asking around about the Konad nail art stamping kit. It’s quite expensive at around Php750 for a set. I’m not too keen about expensive nail polish what more an uber expensive nail art stamping set. I’m not a big fan of nail art. Sure, I like looking at it on other people but I just don’t have the patience to do that on my nails.

That was a few months ago. Now I’m very happy that I found an affordable (and very easy DIY) nail art stamping set at The Emporium.

It’s only Php199! Extra plates/templates cost Php150.

Here’s my first attempt at nail art:

This is my almost Christmas nail art because the colors remind me of Christmas!

Here’s another one but it’s kinda hard to see because of the colors:

And, to make everything perfect, I used this:

The nail dryer is available on a pre-order basis only and costs Php450. Not bad for something that saves me a lot of time. My manicure time is cut in half because of this nifty tool. This is battery operated, 2 AA’s please.

You can choose different designs, templates and sets from The Emporium. They also offer nail polish remover dispensers and nail art dotting tools for only Php60 each.

One tip though, you need to use solid colors when applying nail stamps. Very shiny, glittery and metallic shades are hard to impossible to apply. So that’s my dilemma now. I need to buy more solid/matte colored nail polish. I also found out that Etude House nail polish work best with my templates. Caronia just wouldn’t hold. I can’t wait to get my hands on more colors!

Do you like nail art? Have you ever tried nail stamping?

  2. I like that one better, too! You should try this Kitten. It's so easy, promise! After you stamp the design on your nail, it's practically dry so all you need to do is apply a top coat. Nail art in seconds!

  5. @sherbeth: I'm finding myself doing simple nail art nowadays but I don't think I will ever get into the full nail art (with matching drawings and rhinestones and fimo, etc) thing.
