Blue Eyes

One of the best things of being at home is playing with my makeup. I had some errands to run today but decided to just stay home and rest. I was getting bored so I decided to get my Nichido Stardust Palette in Blue Lagoon and make an EOTD that’s great for parties and nights out. I still have to brave up to wearing this kind of makeup. Well, maybe when the occasion calls for it. Please forgive the crooked line on the other eye. I was too lazy to fix it. I used the bright blue all over my lid then on my crease, I used the purple shadow. To soften the look, I applied the lavender shade on top of the purple. I used the Maybelline Gel liner and Maybelline Falsies as mascara. The colors are much more intense in reality. The lighting in the room is weird as it was almost dusk when I took photos.   So, how do you like this look? Is it party-ready? Would you wear this look?

Makeup for the Teenager

If you’re a long-time follower of this blog, you’d know that I did my cousin C’s prom makeup last year. It wasn’t any different this year. Last year, I decided on a whimsical fairy theme that’s why she had blue, green pink and purple in her eyes. This year, now that she’s a bit older, I concentrated on the pinks and browns that will complement her dress. I did more mature makeup on her but still keeping with the sweet pinks associated with teenagers. I used the Naked Palette for this look. 1. Pat SIN all over the lid. 2. On the crease, I applied HUSTLE 3.On the outer v, I applied TOASTED 4. Next, I put SIDECAR on the center of each lid. Just light feathery strokes from the bottom, to the right and up will do. 5. For the highlight, I used VIRGIN 6. Finally, I lightly patted HALF BAKED all over her lids (not including crease) for the golden shimmery effect. This last step was perfect. It made all the colors shine. C was also with me during the Clinique Mini Makeover Worksh...

Girl Bonding

After a very tiring and disappointing week at the Ateneo Great Escape Bazaar, I was able to get some needed R&R with my best friend C at the Ayala Malls. This is C (in a goofy mode). She has been my best friend for 25 years. She was not able to come to my Clinique Birthday Party because she wasn't well that time. So she said that she'll make it up to me somehow. It's very fortunate that our schedules matched and so we went out today. First off, we went to SM to look for luggage. I am planning a trip and I need one as my luggage here is about 14 years old already. I'm scared that it will just fall apart while I'm wheeling it around. = ) Then we had lunch at Sentro. We had: Garlicky adobo and Vegetable kare-kare I also ordered my favorite mango shake (only from Sentro and Fish Out of Water) while she ordered dalanghita juice. After an hour of lunch and chit chat, we went to Michael Kors to buy MB's birthday gift: Thank you MB! I've wanted this to...

Ladies

So sorry winners. Please bear with me a little longer. Today is the last day of the Ateneo bazaar. I will focus my attention on your prizes afterwards. You will receive your prizes next week. Thanks for understanding!

Gifts Galore!

I’d like to share with you MB’s gifts. They’re not necessarily birthday gifts as he still owes me a few occasions. It’s not that he forgets or anything. It’s just that, I couldn’t decide what I want so what he does is he leaves some money for me and when I see something I like for him to give me, I just get some then show them to him when he gets home. I know it’s a kinda weird system but MB isn’t necessarily great with gifts. This works perfectly fine with me. Jostein Gaarder is one of my favorite authors. These are the only two books that I’m missing in my collection. Well, books that have been released here anyway. MB bought these last Sunday at 20% off as Powerbooks was on sale. He also got me this book from Fully Booked. I absolutely need to read faster! Today at the bazaar, I found these pretty rings and decided that they will be added to MB’s gifts: These earrings are also gifts: Finally, I’d like to thank Ms. Baby, Ms. Malou and Ms. Dindin for these fab birthday ...

My Fabulous Clinique Birthday! Part 2

Here’s my best friend M with Prin. You might recognize her from my Clinique Makeover Workshop. She had the party look back then. Aside from the cupcakes, I also gave away these bangles to all my guests: The Clinique ladies got to choose theirs as well: Aside from the cupcakes and bangles, Clinique gave each and every one of my guests a Clinique Gift Bag. Even the guys received gifts. Here’s Lyn, that special girl who made the magical cupcakes, with her Gift Bag. I guess you can tell that she’s very happy. Each of the Gift Bags contains a personalized item. So if the guest has Type 2 skin, then she gets Type 2 skin products. Thank you Clinique for being so generous to my guests! Even my grandma (she’s 82 and celebrated her birthday just 17 days ago) got to take home Clinique stuff! I bought her a lipstick, toner and moisturizer. Now, my grandma is the original shopaholic. I got the shopaholic gene from her. She’s the one I was talking about in my previous posts about ...

My Fabulous Clinique Birthday!

I celebrated my 29th birthday at Clinique Rustan’s Makati last Saturday (my real birthday is the 27th). As you may already know, I am a huge fan of Clinique products. My skin regimen consists mostly of Clinique products. That is why, I was so touched and honored that Clinique offered to throw me a birthday party at the Makati counter. This is going to be a 2-part post as there are tons of photos! Let’s check out my birthday cupcakes first: These are from Captain’s Mix and Magic. You can email them at captainsmixandmagic@gmail.com or phone them at 0926 7450638. Look for Lyn.  Green is my favorite color and it also happens to be Clinique’s color so this cupcake is perrrrfect! Before the guests arrived, I had my makeup done by Prin, the makeup artist hired by Ms. Budit especially for the event. (Thank you Ms. Budit!!) Of course, you all know that my skin was prepped with Clinique’s 3-Step System, right? Choosing the right foundation shade: My guest and best frien...
