Oh, how I missed Sunday Shopping! I’ve been stuck in the house forever! Fortunately, I was feeling better last Sunday and so MB and I made a quick trip to the mall to buy a few things. I only went to Forever 21 because everything that I need is there. I got a few pastel camis: I also bought a few assorted stuff: Socks for my travel bag, Etude House Mascara Remover from Beauty by SM, F21 earrings, denim shorts with braided details on the waistband and a surprise buy, a pair of sandals! These are size 6 but they actually fit me and they are so cheap at only a little over Php500! That’s all for this week’s edition of Sunday Shopping. I really enjoyed this haul because I got to pay using my BDO Rewards points! Woot!

It’s no secret that I love citrusy scents. That’s the reason why I got this. We had this at Hyphen but now it’s sold out. It’s a very affordable body lotion that smells divine in my opinion. It’s non-greasy and leaves my skin smooth for a short time. I have very, very dry skin and only Aveeno works but I don’t like using Aveeno everyday as it is very heavy on the skin so I use other lotions. I just apply several times during the day to compensate. This is my current body lotion. I have been itching to finish this tube just because I’m excited to try all the lotions and body butters that my best friends gave me for Christmas. Surprisingly, I didn’t get any allergies from this lotion considering it’s not from a well known lotion brand. It’s a good everyday lotion if you have normal skin. The scent also lingers on my skin for a long time so that’s a plus.

At Hyphen, it’s funny when we have new products and people ignore them. When that happens, I usually just get them for myself. No use in letting them sit there. When I do that, that’s when people start asking for them. It’s insane, I know. Take this product for example. I absolutely love the color and I don’t know why people are ignoring it. When I wore this one time at the store, some clients were asking for it. Pffttt… This is a good lipstick. I don’t even have lip balm underneath and see how it looks so glossy. The texture is like a combination of lip balm, lipstick and lip gloss. That’s what you get from one tube. This is a very affordable lipstick at only around Php200. It does not last long but I don’t care. It looks very pretty and I can always re-apply.

There were more products included in the Forever 21 Love & Beauty makeup kit that Ahne gifted me. I already blogged about the palette and the gloss. Here are the remaining three: eye liner mascara liquid liner I wasn’t able to use these three because my cousin C got them. She said they were okay and she can’t complain because she got them for free. LOL. These are not waterproof and I don’t usually wear regular eye products because they smudge and smear like crazy on me. So I guess it’s good that C was able to enjoy them. Here are a few swatches: I rubbed the eye liner with with my finger and it still left a mark. I had to remove it with a makeup remover so I guess it really is good for a student on a budget to use. Here’s the mascara wand: In my opinion, Forever 21’s latest beauty products are getting better. All you regulars out there know that I’m not a fan of lip gloss. I don’t like the sticky feeling. But now, I am slowly learning to like it probably because of this lip gloss. This is a part of a set that was given to me by my best friend, Ahne, for my birthday. I have other lip glosses that are better but this one converted me. Probably because it was a gift from her or maybe because it was pleasant to use. It also has a vanilla flavor. It’s shimmery and yes, I’m a shimmer girl. When applied properly, it will actually make your lips pop. It’s not too shimmery at all in my opinion. I don’t have a lip swatch but you get the idea. This is a concentrated application for you to be able to see the shade and the shimmer. Just spread this out to have beautiful, girly lips.
