  Look at that pink. It looks like it should arrive before I do. But it doesn’t. A few light swipes give me just a soft flush of pink. If I want more, I can build it. And perhaps that’s what I like most about it. It lets me decide how playful I want to be that day. The first surprise was the color. The second? It smells like candy. EJ, my Dior ambassador, recommended Rosy Glow when I asked him to choose something for my Fun & Flirty issue. He told me this shade wasn’t only flattering on fair complexions. It works beautifully on morena skin, too. He was right. On me, it’s playful without looking juvenile. Pretty without becoming precious. And subtle enough that I don’t feel as though the blush entered the room five minutes before the rest of my face. Unless I want it to. Last week, my son and I watched a documentary about a viral hashtag in Indonesia - #KaburAjaDulu or #lemmeouttahere. It's about young Indonesians wanting to leave their country and most of them, not wanting to come back. Whereas the adults who have gone abroad are coming back.  I haven't been to Indonesia, but the Philippines and Indonesia are both developing countries. So, in a way, I can relate to this mindset or this desire to go out of the country in search of a better life.  Indonesia is my 10th all time top readers. So I realized that I haven't shared my very first Essence purchases with you. I got these in Watsons Singapore last November.  I was drawn to the display - really cheery pastels and circus/fair theme. There were no testers but considering the affordable price tag, I just added them to my basket. I checked them out when I got home in Manila. Little did I know that I was in for a treat.  Look at these swatches.  The blush is super pigmented. The first time I swiped my brush, I ended up with a ton of product. I was very careful after that. I like to layer this on top of a base shade. It's the perfect shade for spring.  This blush stays on a for a considerable amount of time. I have no complaints because it does great for a drugstore product.  I will share with you photos of the nail polish when I apply it again. Right now, I'm wearing another Essence nail polish shade but couldn't show you as it's already chipped!
