Things That Caught My Eye at Mango August 2025

During our Greenbelt day ,  I dropped by Mango. I didn’t buy anything this time (my sizes were either sold out or the fit just wasn’t right), but I left with a lot of style inspiration. Sometimes it’s fun to simply browse and see what catches my eye. Elevated Basics 👗 Mango had plenty of versatile tops that could easily slip into any capsule wardrobe. A structured brown corset-inspired tank — clean lines and minimalist chic. This is what I came for, but the neckline was too low, so I skipped.  I thought this would go nicely with a white shirt underneath but the print will overwhelm my petite frame. This was on the sale rack.  A printed vest with front buttons — casual but polished.  I also really like this but I can tell right away that the fit will be weird on my petite frame.  A forest-green knit vest with statement buttons that looked like little works of art. These are the kinds of pieces that don’t scream for attention but quietly elevate your look...

My Quest for the Perfect Travel Bag

We just got back from a week's stay in Baguio. This is our third time there in the last 6 months. It was both work and vacation for me and my family. A few days before going there, I looked for a crossbody bag to bring. When we went there in March, I had a hard time bringing all our stuff. It was just my son and I with my mom and sis. My son can't do a lot of heavy lifting yet. On our first trip, I bought my big tan Charles and Keith bag thinking that I can use it as both my personal bag and shopping bag. I was wrong. I ended up with sore shoulders because the bag itself is already too heavy. On our second trip, I used my burgundy Charles and Keith bag but that too proved to be a failure. I needed free hands and free shoulders because of my backpack and other things that I needed to hang there like totes and stuff. A bulky shoulder bag is not the way to go. So, on our third trip, I was determined to find a crossbody bag that was light, small enough not to interfere with the oth...

My Mango Pretend Shopping List

One of my favorite brands of clothing is Mango. I like Mango better than Zara just because Mango fits me better. It’s not easy killing time when you’re all alone in your room so yeah, I’ve been browsing my favorite websites and coming up with my pretend shopping lists. The last time I went to the Mango boutique, I saw some dresses that I like. I was supposed to go back and buy them but alas, my health got the better of me. I browsed the new arrivals in the site and here’s what I like: I think it’s weird that they are mostly white and I wasn’t able to find a lot of dresses that I like. Ugh, I really miss shopping!
