Holiday Fridate: Power Plant - NBS, Healthy Options, Fully Booked x Kinokuniya

It was a holiday last Friday. I was supposed to stay home and do some work. My husband also had to have the car fixed. But when I woke up, he said it was already fixed as he left early.  So, I changed my plans and asked him to go out.  At first I only wanted to go to Power Plant.  On the way there, we passed by The Oakwood.  The birdcages near the infinity pool were very popular back then when the hotel first opened. I believe you can sit inside while you lounge by the pool. They’re beautiful. But from my view: Metro Manila cable spaghetti! 🤣 We also passed by my old school, Ateneo.  I took photos of the escalator from parking.  I showed the beautiful mood lighting to my friend.  Of course Power Plant thought of making your experience a pleasant one the moment you enter.   I looked up and click! Our first stop was NBS.  I saw this copy of The Art of War and thought how pretty the cover was. There are other classic titles in the same p...

Sunday, Somewhere Lovely Part 3: Mitsukoshi

Thank you to this week’s top 5 countries - USA 🇺🇸, Norway 🇳🇴, Brazil 🇧🇷, and India 🇮🇳. And Bienvenue mes Seychelles Glow Girls for debuting at #2! My Seychelles 🇸🇨 Glow Girls, your continuous support in the last few days earned you the #19 spot in the All-Time Leaderboard. Thank you! I’d also like to welcome India 🇮🇳 into the Top 5 this week! Thank you for allowing me to keep you company throughout your day!  Now, let’s continue with my lovely Sun-date.  Our first stop after lunch was Nitori. I wanted to buy a cooker.  But of course, I cannot enter Nitori and leave with just a cooker. 😏 Especially when they have a cat collection of dinnerware!  I should’ve bought these.  This is what I got after just 2 aisles. 😁 I needed a lamp. At first I got the one below, but felt that it isn’t bright enough so I switched to the lamp above.  And I also got the cooker that was my main objective for this run. 😆 Next stop was Fully Booked x Kinokuniya ...

Quiet Happiness at Kinokuniya

Fully Booked x Kinokuniya is my happy place.  Well, one of my happy places, that is.  How can it not? Just look at that fun Mario multicolored pen!  I would’ve bought it in a heartbeat if it was a single color pen. Big pens just don’t suit my fingers.  And then look at these journal tabs! That is exactly my aesthetic! And look at the corner bookmark and the pirate page holder. The corner marker reminds me of the book my son’s friends gave him. It had an origami corner bookmark, too.  Line Markers. These are great! It reminds me of those reading rulers with the window in the middle, except this one tells you the last line you read. Very exact! There’s a bookmark and then there’s a line marker. Cool.  Oh, these Japanese stickers are sending me… Now I want the cats and the piano stickers… and those onigiri!  Clips! I have recently developed an obsession with clips.  Fortunately, these clips are too juvenile for me so I passed.  Oh, but th...
