Soft Luxe Travels: What's in My Backpack for Vigan

I love this backpack!  I’m a tote girl at heart, but for long road trips and vacations, I switch to a roomy white backpack —hands-free, tons of compartments, and it fits my entire soft-luxe survival kit. Here’s everything I actually packed for Vigan and how I keep it all neat. Look at all those compartments Tech & Work Corner Tablets (2) + slim cases — one is my son's. The green one is mine. I bring a tablet for blogging and work.  Logitech Bluetooth keyboard — turns the tablet into a mini laptop when I need to write. Mini clear zipper pods (3) — hold cables and chargers Powerbank in other photo Organization Heroes Collapsible crates (green & lilac) — fold flat, then pop open in the hotel to sort snacks or toiletries. Interesting

Found these while flipping through one of the magazines in the hotel: My current addiction is soaps. I wanted to find these but we didn’t have any more time. Love her dress. She’s an actress there I met a very nice airline worker when we arrived in Sarawak. She was the one who pushed my wheelchair and we had a bit of a conversation. She said that there are many Philippine soaps and movies being shown there and she watches a lot of them. She said she likes them very much. I don’t watch local soaps and I rarely watch local movies but it kinda made me proud that someone from another race is fond of them. Like I said, interesting…

Malaysia Haul 2

Please bear with me if I am not updating this blog regularly. I have been very busy. I can only do one blog post a day. If I am not updating this blog, I am updating my food blog .  So if you are a foodie, please have a look at my site. Continuing my Malaysia Haul: Socks for the hubby Shirt for me I’ve been living in shirts and shorts for the past few weeks now because those are the only clothes that fit me (aside from a few dresses)! I needed another bag for my hand carry stuff but I ended up checking this in as well. I love the print on this. Plus, I love PUMA bags as they are durable. I have another bag that I bought in Singapore a couple of years ago and it’s still in great condition! It’s funny, I only buy PUMA stuff when I’m abroad.. Finally found this variant!   and it comes with a good-sized freebie too! I’m positive we won’t be buying shower gels for the rest of the year with this haul! I bo...

Shopping in Malaysia Part 1

On our second day in Malaysia, I started exploring the mall beside our hotel. Good thing the hotel had a connecting door to the mall otherwise I wouldn’t be able to go shopping. I mostly shopped at Guardian and Parkson, the department store. They were having  a Ramadan sale when I went there so I loaded up on toiletries. But before that, we need some cash: I was thinking of calling the bellboy to help me carry these to my room but that would require me to go down a flight of stairs so I just walked slowly so as not to aggravate my wound. My son needs a lot of cotton so I loaded up on these. I bought 4 packs. They were on super sale, cheaper than Watsons here. I bought these because of the free toiletries box. These went out to my cousins. Cousin C made one box for toiletries and the other for makeup as the cover had a space for makeup brushes. Body washes for my cousins, mom and mama. I got the fourth one the following day. Nail polish remove...
