I thought I was just tired. Not the kind that sleep fixes. The kind that sits quietly in your body… heavy, dull, and constant.

  The internet decided to disappear for 2.5 days. No warning. No negotiation. Just gone. At first, I reached for my phone to tether my iPad so that I can write… then eventually gave up and let the silence settle. So I went back to something slower. I spent the past few days making. Cutting paper, layering details, building little scenes piece by piece. The kind of work that doesn’t rush you, doesn’t demand anything from you except your attention. That’s how the City Cats came to life. Each one turned into its own tiny world—different colors, different moods, small details you only notice when you look a little longer. There’s something grounding about creating with your hands when everything else goes quiet. A few hours passed and I realize that I now have a collection.  These pieces are available in the shop. I t’s no secret that Daiso is one of my favorite stores. And for good reason.  They have a wide range of high quality useful, functional products at very affordable prices. 

  S ome things don’t call for attention loudly. They don’t demand to be bought or even understood. They simply exist—and somehow, they make you stop.  As I wandered through the different stationery stores, I found quiet little moments that caught me…and made me pause.

  A s a child, I’ve always had a love for stationery. So back-to-school shopping was one of those events I look forward to.  As an adult, I still get excited for back-to-school shopping even though we homeschool. I love checking out what’s new this season.  Nostalgia, I guess. 

There’s a moment that happens when you walk into a stationery store. Everything is cute. (Why is everything always cute?? Everything is tempting. Everything feels like it could belong in your life. And for a second, you believe it.

E arlier this week, I found myself wandering through the stationery section at SM. Dangerous place.  Stationery stores are wastelands. That’s my term for places that I love so much that bleed my wallet dry. 

S omething about Japanese stationery always pulls me in quietly.

  I left the house yesterday after more than a week of staying in. Not because I had to. But because I finally felt like I could.

  T here are days when I don’t want to carry so much. Not just physically… but mentally too.

  I told myself I was done with this. Not because it was bad. Not because it didn’t work. But because it wasn’t worth me anymore.

  T here was no cart this time. No quiet wandering, no picking things up just to put them back. I walked in with one thing in mind.

  There was a time when walking into places like this felt dangerous. Not because of the price… but because I wanted everything.

  I ’ve always loved Bath & Body Works. The colors, the themes, the storytelling… it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a little girl again, especially with the Disney Princess collection.

Some stops are intentional. Others just… happen.

  W e didn’t rush into the trip. The first stop was quiet… familiar.

  T hree times a charm… and this little Hello Kitty tote is back again. But this time, it’s not about what I packed… it’s about what I chose to carry.
