Cloud Clean

This is my travel bottle. I keep the full-size bottles at home I recently discovered another reason to keep this little bottle around. I already like Bioten Micellar Water because it removes my makeup without making my skin complain. With my sensitivities, that alone is enough to make a product worth keeping. But apparently, it has another talent. It cleans my cloud and marshmallow puffs too. ☁️ Foundation stains tend to cling to them, and because they’re soft and fluffy, I don’t like being too aggressive when I wash them. One day, I decided to try my Bioten Micellar Water on the stained areas first. And the foundation came off. Excuse me? A makeup remover that my skin likes and that helps get foundation out of my favorite puffs? That changes things. Now I can use a little micellar water on the stubborn spots before washing the puffs as usual, instead of rubbing and rubbing at the fabric. Simple. Effective. No unnecessary fuss. And considering how often I use those puffs, anythi...

The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Tissue Review

Shoutout to my beautiful readers in Norway! You were number 1 yesterday! And I discovered something interesting. At 3:36 am yesterday (your time), 19 of you from Norway were reading my blog! I am honored to keep you company during those wee hours in the morning. Whether you were preparing for your day, can't sleep, or just decompressing, I hope you found something useful and inspiring here.  If you’ve ever had to wipe away makeup with a rosacea flare in full swing, you know the stakes are high. I've been using The Face Shop’s Herb Day Cleansing Tissue for about two months now—and I was pleasantly surprised. Even with my ultra-sensitive, flaring skin, this held up beautifully. These wipes are gentle, with a light scent that doesn't overpower. What’s more, the fragrance fades nicely once you rinse your face. I always follow up with my go-to White Seed cleanser and everything feels clean afterwards. This isn’t my first rodeo with the Herb Day line. I used the Herb Day Cleansi...

Maybe it’s Maybelline

I’ve only been using the Etude House Tea Time Makeup Remover and it stings my eyes so bad that they tear up every time I remove makeup. So, I decided to try Maybelline’s Eye & Lip Makeup Remover.   For Php99, this product is great! I just apply a small amount to a cotton pad, press it gently on my eyes and eye lashes then they’re all clean. It effectively removes my Magnum mascara (well, it should!) but it doesn’t do a very nice job of removing all traces of my Ever Bilena black eye liner. I don’t apply liner everyday and sometimes, when I wake up in the morning, I can still see some very faded lines on my lids. That’s okay as my cleansers can remove the tiny leftover traces. I’ve tried using this to remove the makeup on my face. It’s good but I think it’s just too wasteful. I still use my EH makeup remover on the rest of my face. I like the fact that this product doesn’t sting my eyes. I’m so glad they thought about putting ‘opthalmologically and dermatologically tested’ ...

Let's Talk Baby Wipes

Aside from my Etude House makeup remover , I regularly use baby wipes to remove makeup especially on my sensitive eye area. I regularly use Hello Kitty baby wipes. The pink one. We were at Baby Company, Powerplant last week, looking for a gift for the new addition to the family in Iligan and I spotted this. It costs P69.75 for 72 sheets. I thought it was reasonably priced so I gave it a go.  I have mixed feelings about this. It's scented, which I don't like. I think the scent would be too much for a newborn. The sheets are small compared to the Hello Kitty ones. Because of that, I need at least 2 to wipe my hands and/or remove my makeup. With the HK, I only use 1. But this effectively removes my makeup. Just be sure to wipe gently as I find that this hurts my skin. I exert the same amount of effort with the HK wipes but that doesn't hurt. This hurts. Now I'm wondering if this is really safe for babies.  Another interesting find are the cotton buds which are packed li...
