Soft Luxe Travels: What's in My Backpack for Vigan

I love this backpack!  I’m a tote girl at heart, but for long road trips and vacations, I switch to a roomy white backpack —hands-free, tons of compartments, and it fits my entire soft-luxe survival kit. Here’s everything I actually packed for Vigan and how I keep it all neat. Look at all those compartments Tech & Work Corner Tablets (2) + slim cases — one is my son's. The green one is mine. I bring a tablet for blogging and work.  Logitech Bluetooth keyboard — turns the tablet into a mini laptop when I need to write. Mini clear zipper pods (3) — hold cables and chargers Powerbank in other photo Organization Heroes Collapsible crates (green & lilac) — fold flat, then pop open in the hotel to sort snacks or toiletries. Total game-changer for keeping a small room calm. Folding cloth organizer — For organizing my toiletries Hygiene & Comfort Evian Facial Spray — instant refresh after hours on the road. Disposable tableware kit — for quick ...

14,345 Views in One Day—Thank You, Glow Ladies!

There are moments in this journey that make me pause, breathe, and just feel grateful. Yesterday was one of those days— 14,345 views in a single day. If you've noticed, my URL is bitsandtreats. I started bitsandtreats in 2009 to share the daily bits of my life that I thought ladies like me would find helpful, and the treats that I found along the way that I'd like to share with my readers that I feel would benefit them. I kept the URL as a breadcrumb for my Glow Girls back in the day to follow to our new home - Glow by Lady E. I rebranded to Glow by Lady E with one simple intention: to share beauty, stories, and little luxuries that make everyday life feel softer, lighter, and more meaningful in this new chapter of my life - a mom and a more mature, more refined woman.  Back in 2009, I didn't know about stats and analytics. I was mainly engaging with the local crowd. I had local readers who regularly commented. I didnt know that even back then, I already had a follo...

Soft Luxe Travels: What's in My Beauty Bag for Vigan

Whenever I travel, I try to strike a balance between bringing enough makeup to feel put together and not overpacking. For my Vigan trip, I curated a mix of tried-and-true staples and versatile products that could handle long road trips, sudden rain showers, and nights out at Calle Crisologo. My makeup bag for this trip Makeup Brushes & Tools The makeup bag has a place for storing brushes. I brought the following brushes: blush brush concealer brush eyebrow brush bronzer brush different eye shadow brushes blending brush These brushes fit perfectly in the case, making them easy to pack and grab on the go. However, the garter to hold the brushes is too big, so the brushes kept falling out whenever I opened the bag! My solution was to bunch as many brushes in one compartment so they won't fall out easily.  Face Base BYS Full Coverage Foundation  – reliable for long wear and humidity. Review soon!  NARS Soft Matte Primer – I use this for my eyelids.  BYS Hybr...

Things That Caught my Eye at Charles and Keith - Part 2: Shoe Spotlight

I went to Charles and Keith to look for shoes. True to form, C&K delivers sleek designs that balance comfort, modernity, and a touch of chic. Here are a few standouts that caught my eye: Yara Patent Mary Jane Flats in Cream, Red & Black Mary Janes are making a comeback, and C&K’s version feels grown-up yet playful. The square toe modernizes the look, while the bold red option adds just the right pop of color. I can see the cream pair for day events, the red for statement outfits, and the black as a versatile staple.  These won't suit my petite frame, though. 😁 Knotted Accent Slide Sandals in Black & White These are the ones I actually brought home! 🤍🖤 The gold knot detail elevates the minimalist design, making them look far more expensive than their price tag. They’re perfect for quick errands, casual meetups, or even pairing with linen trousers for a polished weekend look.  This is the only pair I packed for Vigan! It's really versatile that it...

Things That Caught My Eye at Charles & Keith (Bags – Part 1)

When I walked into Charles & Keith, it wasn’t just the shoes that caught my attention. Their new bag lineup had such an interesting mix of textures, finishes, and structures — perfect for anyone building a capsule wardrobe but still wanting a touch of luxe. Duo Chain-Handle Two-Way Backpack in Black Quilted bags always catch my eye. I also liked the glossy finish of this bag. Who knew these can be turned into a backpack?? A quick search on the Charles and Keith app revealed this: You can also style it like this Duo Quilted 2-Way Front Flap in Pewter   I am always attracted to pewter bags and shoes. I really love this color. This is also another surprise bag. Look at how C&K styled it: This bag immediately stood out with its shimmering metallic finish and quilted design. The side pockets give it a utilitarian twist, making it practical while still polished. It’s the kind of piece that can easily transition from day errands to a night out. It's another sneaky backpack! Mini S...

Things That Caught My Eye at Mango August 2025

During our Greenbelt day ,  I dropped by Mango. I didn’t buy anything this time (my sizes were either sold out or the fit just wasn’t right), but I left with a lot of style inspiration. Sometimes it’s fun to simply browse and see what catches my eye. Elevated Basics 👗 Mango had plenty of versatile tops that could easily slip into any capsule wardrobe. A structured brown corset-inspired tank — clean lines and minimalist chic. This is what I came for, but the neckline was too low, so I skipped.  I thought this would go nicely with a white shirt underneath but the print will overwhelm my petite frame. This was on the sale rack.  A printed vest with front buttons — casual but polished.  I also really like this but I can tell right away that the fit will be weird on my petite frame.  A forest-green knit vest with statement buttons that looked like little works of art. These are the kinds of pieces that don’t scream for attention but quietly elevate your look...
