Bags I’m Crushing On at H&M Right Now – Part 1 (Fresh Finds You’ll Want to Grab Before They’re Gone)

Some women window-shop. I? I window-stalk. H&M never makes it easy to just browse and leave empty-handed — especially when their bag wall is calling my name. It doesn't help that there's an H&M 5 minutes away from me. 😱 My stroll turned into a mini fashion research mission, and oh, Glow Ladies… the temptation was real. If you’ve ever told yourself, ‘I’m just looking,’ you know that’s the first lie every fashion girl tells before H&M makes her weak in the knees. 😏

These bags are not just accessories; they’re statement-makers waiting to level up any outfit. And some of them? On sale. Consider this your friendly nudge to hurry before someone else snags your dream bag.

This one caught my eye quickly. It was small enough for quick errand days but big enough to fit my mom essentials. I wanted to grab it and run straight to the cashier. But when I got closer...

I saw that there's a huge problem. Look below:

It doesn't have any zippers! Living in a developing country and bringing an open bag like that is like telling crooks, here, take everything! 😆

Glow Ladies, this isn’t just a design flaw — it’s a mugger’s love letter waiting to happen. Safety first, style second… or better yet, style and safety. Zip it or skip it.

I have a love-hate relationship with this bag. I'm not sure if I like the suede detail at the bottom. When I first saw it nice and clean, it looked gorgeous. I can absolutely see myself using this with some of my outfits, but it was expensive back then and when it was put on sale, they didn't look nice anymore. 😆 I guess that's why they were put on the sale rack?

This is one of the bags that I wish I had gotten right away. It's very rare for H&M to put a zippered bag on sale below Php1,000. I had an aversion to black bag and shoes for years. I just feel that they don't look nice on me, but now that I'm older, I think I want to experiment with them.

Turns out, black doesn’t age you — it elevates you. Maybe this is the sign we both needed to rethink those color rules we grew up with.

I really like this studded bag. It instantly gives a plain outfit some oomph, but the weird cylindrical shape makes it hard to stuff things into. Imagine fitting a wallet, phone, tissues, and a makeup kit in there. Nope. Not happening.

"A cute bag that can’t carry your life? That’s not a bag, that’s a betrayal."

I would've bought this bag had it had a lining inside. It was just stuffed with paper to hold its shape. I don't like see through bags because again, pickpocket invitation.  This bag just gives beach vibes. Remove the leather strap while in the beach, and hook it back on when you're back in the city.

This bag has a lining but it's too tiny for me! No mom would get this. But if it were bigger, I would've bought this, too!

This is a pretty simple bag that I think is perfect for teens. They can customize it with their pins and patches. It's the perfect size to carry around when they go out with their friends.

I can also totally see this on a college girl, walking from one campus building to another with her books in her hand, wind in her hair,  and her essentials in her bag.

These two bags (top and bottom) would look really good paired with office wear, especially the one below. That gold buckle elevates this bucket bag to a whole new level. But again, that top bag has no zippers!

This bag would go well with a power suit!

This bag has so many problems. First is that carabiner type lock. That's so hard to open and close! Imagine you're at the cashier and there's a long queue, and you're trying to get your wallet and you're wrestling with that lock! 😁 And the people behind you are already tapping their shoes on the floor.

The weird flap makes it tricky to put big things inside. I opened it to see the inside. Yeah, no.

At the end of the day, a bag isn’t just a carryall — it’s a tiny, portable mood board. Each one promises a different version of you: the chic errand-runner, the boss lady, the weekend glam queen. The only question is… which you do you feel like carrying?

Fashion is a love language, and sometimes, it whispers from the shelves of H&M. Whether you’re hunting for your next everyday tote or that perfect party arm candy, these finds are worth a second look. Stay tuned for Part 2 — more crush-worthy bags are coming your way. In the meantime, tell me: which one would you carry straight to brunch this weekend?

Alone Time

My good friend Kitten and I were supposed to go out yesterday but she had some unexpected things come up. I needed to buy some stuff as I am packing for a trip and so I went alone. I actually enjoy going out alone as much as going out with girlfriends or MB. It gives me a chance to eat whatever I like to eat and explore new restos. It’s also nice to take my time when shopping. After paying my bills, I had a late lunch at Toast Box: I love Hainanese Chicken. I sometimes cook this dish but it’s too tedious so I settle for eating out. I’m so happy that there are now restaurants that serve proper Hainanese Chicken. Well, except that one above was sooooo bloody. It was swimming in blood when I pulled the meat apart so I had it changed. You know what Gordon Ramsay says, bloody chicken is poisonous. This is the second time I ate at Toast Box and in both times, the chicken was so bloody. After lunch, I started shopping. First stop was Beabi where I bought these: The Sakura thermos on...

Soft Luxe Travels: Day 1 - The Journey to Vigan Part 1

In this post, we will start our journey to Vigan! The Night Before After packing our things, I did a few things for myself to help me relax and decompress so that I can sleep. I'm a night owl and not used to waking up early nor sleeping early, so I have to be strategic.  I painted my nails that night after all my chores, so that the nail polish wouldn't chip.  However, I forgot that I needed to make pressed sandwiches for our breakfast the following day!  Because really, what’s a road trip mom without freshly painted nails and a last-minute kitchen hustle? 😂 So, I had to do a lot of washing and hoped for the best that my nail polish will not chip! Luncheon meat, eggs, Kewpie Trust me, it tastes better than it sounds at 11 PM while trying not to chip your polish. That night, we also tried the Ube Halaya from Amira's. This was from our trip to Tagaytay . I'll try to make a review of this on my food blog . With everything prepped, I finally let myself drift off—half excit...

Holiday State of Mind

Sometimes, a quick escape is all it takes to reset the spirit. Tagaytay always gives me that holiday state of mind… Even a short drive can feel like a retreat when your heart is ready to embrace rest. My son successfully finished his recital last Sunday and as a reward, my sister treated us to Tagaytay yesterday.  Getting Ready for the Trip I decided to use my BYS Golden Hour Palette for today's look. Makeup, for me, is part of the ritual—it sets the tone that today is special. Here are the swatches: From top to bottom: Polaroid, Candid, Aperture, In Focus, Portrait, Panoramic In Focus is slightly wet, like something between a liquid and cream eyeshadow. The color is gorgeous! I love Panoramic, too! Polaroid is a bit chalky and not as pigmented as the shadows in the Queen Bee Palette.  Here are the face shades: Highlighter: Illumination Contour: Ambiance I haven't tried Illumination yet, only Ambiance. I used it on top of my BYS Bronzer. It's a buildable powder, a littl...
