Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters

I was super, super excited when these came out. I was very happy with my Colorburst Lip Gloss plus I read nice reviews about these lip butters. I wanted to buy all the colors! Well, good thing I didn’t. I got Sweet Tart, Cupcake and Gumdrop. I bought Gumdrop to replace my favorite Avon Berry Mauvy which is running out. First things first, nice packaging. The design works for me and the cap stays on. It’s actually a bit hard to remove the cap at times, especially with one hand. No weird smell and no allergies. They glide on like butter but I feel that they dry out my lips after a couple of hours. So I still use a lip balm with these. Here are swatches: As you can see, they don’t look very nice. They don’t leave a clean, smooth finish when they should because, well, they’re lip butters. They look terrible especially if you have dry, chapped lips. Avoid these when you have dry lips. Or choose the darker shades. I swiped these after giving my lips a thorough scr...

Revlon goes ThreeSixty–Part 2

I say 360 because they’ve got every corner, every angle and every side covered. They’ve got big stars like Jessica Biel, Halle Berry and Jessica Alba for endorsers. They’re on glossies, posters, billboards and did you know that they also had a building projection? If I’m not mistaken, they are the very first cosmetics brand in the Philippines to do that. They did that in MOA where Jessica Alba and Halle Berry would greet you before you enter the mall. Now they’re really giving the competition a hard time to follow their act with this: This is what I was telling you in my previous post. They utilized this technology before but now (as I’ve said in Part 1), you can use your own face instead of the model on the screen so you’d know exactly how your chosen shades would look on you. I tried this out and it was really great to see my face with their different makeup on. I’m not a big Revlon user. I only have one Revlon product in my collection and I’m very satisfied with that. This enabled...

Revlon Goes ThreeSixty

Before I left for my vacation, I attended two events (yeah, I know. Ngarag!). One is the launch of the new Revlon Colorbust Lip Gloss. Revlon may be a drugstore brand but it is, in my opinion, the number one cosmetics brand to utilize the latest technology in advertising and promotion. If you can remember, last year they used the touch screen technology of I Trixx to show you different looks using their makeup. This time around, they’ve gone up a notch higher. They still used the touch screen technology of ThreeSixty Marketing (formerly I Trixx) but with a twist – you can now take a photo of yourself and see exactly how the shades will look on you. It’s quite simple actually. You just look at the camera and take a photo of yourself. Then the 360 guide will help you with the process. After that, you can just drag the colors to different parts of your face. No need for a makeup remover as dragging the colors automatically changes your look. Now if you don’t like makeovers in a public pl...
