We find ways… to piss you off!

I just can’t take it anymore! BDO is really ruining my used to be perfect banking experience with them. The first incident happened last Friday at the main office in Makati Ave. I was encashing a check. They wouldn’t let me because apparently, the other ID that I was presenting was not a valid one. It’s a government-issued ID, by the way. I asked why. I think I was speaking to the supervisor at this point as the teller immediately called him and asked about my ID’s. I told them that it was the same ID I used to open an account with them. He said that’s different. That was opening an account. This was encashing a check. I asked what difference would that make and he just kept saying that my ID is invalid. I told him I resigned from the company issuing the check that’s why I don’t have a company ID anymore. I even told him to call up the company to verify. He just kept insisting that my ID is invalid. I told him that I needed the money as I will be going to MMC right after the bank. He...

Incompetency is a Disease

What do you when you're surrounded by stupid, incompetent people? How do you blow off steam? Me, I go to the bathroom, apply makeup and take a deep breath before I go back to wherever it is I'm supposed to be. Then blog about it. I need to write in order to calm myself. It's contagious. It's especially bad if it can be found in the workplace, in customer service oriented shops and companies of any size. I find it unbelievable when I encounter managers who blame their staff, worse,...

Rant, rant, rant

Let me interrupt normal programming for a few minutes of my rants. I am having a shitty day. A very shitty day at that. People are making an issue of my "professionalism". I may always be out of the office, but I can proudly say that I beat all my deadlines and I finish and submit work when I'm supposed to. Even earlier. So what do you do to blow off steam? I tried splashing my face with cold water for several minutes, listening to very loud music, writing. And I'm still feeling like I'm going to blow up any second now... Any suggestions? And while we're at it, be creative!
