This is a hairstyle that my bestfriend C did for me 2 weeks back. It’s a side bun that’s hanging. She used some of my special hair tools to create this bun. I’m not sure if you can do this using regular hair pins. She’s really great with hairstyles. I got so many compliments that day because of this look. It’s really nice to look made-up once in a while, don’t you agree? I love the surprised look people get when they see me in something out of the ordinary.

Because I’m studying makeup, one of my mentors said that I should also start studying hair styles so I’ve been playing around with different hairstyles lately. Mostly braids though.  I’m not yet sure if I really want to learn to do intricate hairstyles. Here’s hairstyle number 1:   You’d have to forgive me if you like smooth, even braids as I dislike fussing with my hair. This is one of the reasons why I had them curled. These are messy, uneven side braids that meet in the center and topped with one of my ribbons. I am constantly inspired by Japanese fashion and I thought this hairstyle would be appropriate for my look that day. I have been  looking for nice barrettes and clips in the department stores to no avail. I’d like to use them for more hairstyles in the coming days. So I guess I’ll be posting more of these.
