Soft Luxe Productivity: How I Unpacked for 3 People in 30 Minutes

The Scene After Travel You know that feeling when you get home from a trip? The bags are staring at you, the laundry is waiting, and all you want is a nap, but in my case, I wanted to sleep! Our back-to-back impromptu trips to Tagaytay and Vigan left me with very little sleep for several nights.  In the past, I used to “speedrun” unpacking just to get it over with. When we got back from Baguio, I did it in 15 minutes.  But this time, I did it differently. I slowed down. I gave myself 30 minutes—and I actually enjoyed it. The Laundry Trick The first thing I did was dump the clothes straight into the washing machine. Easy, because everything was already sorted. Lounge wear had its own packing cell, going-out clothes in another, underwear in another.  Our packing cells are color coded, too, so I know whose clothes are in a specific-colored cell. No thinking required. Even the totes and packing cells got tossed in after, so they’ll be fresh for the next adventure. C...

Soft Luxe Travels: Vigan - Turning Our Hotel Room Into a Soft Luxe Retreat

Checking into a new space always excites me, but I know from experience that hotel rooms can quickly get messy when everything just sits on the sink, table, or — worst of all — the floor. This time, I came prepared. Collapsible Organizers: Luxe Order in Small Spaces Remember these collapsible crates and soft organizer which I showed you in what I packed in my backpack ? I brought them because I knew they would instantly transform our stay. Instead of scattered bottles and pouches, I had neat little stations for toiletries, skincare, and haircare. Everything had its own home, giving the room a clean, curated look that felt intentional and calming. A Bathroom That Felt Curated From our shampoo and conditioner to facial washes and bath lilies everything lined up beautifully. The crate kept our bath lilies corralled. This setup added a spa-like vibe. Even in a simple bathroom, this small detail elevated the whole experience into something luxe. With three people using the bathroom, I kne...

Soft Luxe Travels: What’s in My Travel Tote

When I travel, I always bring a tote bag for sightseeing, shopping, and walking around. It’s light, stylish, and practical — the perfect balance of form and function. For this Vigan trip, I packed my brown Amour Paris tote. Here’s a peek at what’s inside. Umbrella ☔ A non-negotiable! Whether it’s sudden rain or scorching sun, my compact umbrella keeps me ready for anything. Weather in the Philippines is unpredictable. Right now, we're experiencing the rainy season, but when the sun is out, he really makes his presence known!  By the way, I got our cute automatic kitty umbrella from Watsons Baguio. (Check out my Baguio posts in the archives!) Snacks 🍪 I'm bringing my handy dandy snack kit, which I always bring whenever we go out. For the road, I have root chips, Candy Kittens, one of our favorite gummies, and watagashi. Yes, that's not cotton. It's Japanese cotton candy — because sightseeing in the car is always better with food and cotton candy on hand. Rechargea...
