Haul-over Wednesday

I’m pretty late with my Haul-over Wednesday posts. I keep losing track of what day it is because of my crazy schedule. This has been a haul I made a couple of weeks back: From Clinique, I got my favorite facial scrub: From Paul & Joe, this Protective Powder Compact Foundation which I  am totally in love with: And from Kenzo, I got their newest perfume, Silk, that makes me swoon: What’s the best part of shopping? Gifts with purchases! I will make separate posts on each but I think I already made a review about the 7-day scrub.

Haul-over Wednesday

I forgot to post this last Wednesday. Even when I was younger, I loved collecting accessories. So I guess that explains this haul: The top three are gifts for my cousin and grandma. I got these all from my friend who sells accessories. What was your midweek pick-me-up?

Haul-over Wednesday

Watsons is definitely my favorite “drugstore” but now First Aid is coming in closely at second place. I was looking for a mirror to use in my bazaars last Sunday. MB and I spotted one at Forever21. It was heart-shaped. I’m not a huge fan of hearts so I was feeling so-so about it and it was Php306. I think it was too expensive for a mirror. But it was also the perfect size. MB said to look for more as he knows that I don’t like hearts. So we went to First Aid at Greenbelt and found these mirrors. The Maybelline stuff, I got yesterday. The mirrors are, are you ready for this? Php149 each! So affordable! You can adjust the mirror to 45 and 180 degree angles. I saw two kinds of mirrors. One was taller. I asked the SA about it and she said that the mirrors are adjustable. When I asked MB to assemble them, turns out, the tall mirrors are a different model. Oh, well. These will suffice. On the other hand, I thought I was over my Maybelline phase but I guess first love never dies when it c...

Haul-over Wednesday

This isn’t exactly a haul as I only bought one and the other one was a gift. I bought this red and white striped bangle from Hyphen Luxe. Hyphen Luxe is a brand under Hyphen and I somewhat play a consultant/director part on that side so if I want something, I have to pay for it. I sometimes choose the accessories/clothes that Hyphen Luxe carries. This bangle was one of those. I pick things that I myself will wear. I didn’t have a need for this bangle back when we acquired this but when I was wearing my new nautical shirt (which I got from a Korean friend, more on that soon)  during the DLSU Centennial Celebration I just thought that this bangle was a match so I got it! Later that day, I met Helen. She blogged about our meeting here . She gave me this the next day: Well, actually, she left it with my best friend as I think I was in the canteen that time. The note was super! My best friend was so touched too! It’s people like you, Helen, that give me good blogging juju. = ) Yo...

Haul-over Wednesday

This isn’t exactly a haul because there’s just one but if you consider each pot then I guess you can call it a haul. 100 to be exact: You all know my dilemma about matte eyeshadows. Here is the answer to that. As you can see, I’ve already used some of the colors. I brought this palette to the disastrous bazaar with me so that I can practice my makeup skills on my mom and my best friend. I also used this palette on myself. The colors are great, nice and vivid. The texture is not so good. It’s not chalky but you need to really get your brush in there to get a good amount of color. For a very affordable palette, it lasts a good amount of time. The colors still fade though, even with a UDPP base. I retouched both of their makeup twice during the course of the day and through the night. I didn’t retouch mine because it looked okay to me. I guess it’s because I had an aqua e/s on while mom had corals and browns and C had light greens and pinks. I guess the darker colors last longe...
