Revlon Suede Lipsticks

I am finally ready to blog about these lipsticks. I’ve had them for a  few weeks now. I gave the darkest shade to my sister. I’m sorry, I forgot the exact shade name. Here they are up close: Here are swatches: I didn’t do a lip swatch anymore as my lips are dry and chapping. These lipsticks are quite affordable at Php575. I was actually surprised with the price. I like the tube as it makes a click, click sound when I twist it to lengthen the lipstick. The cap also stays on. There are no weird smells unlike that other line of lipstick they released. Color payoff is not so good once its on my lips. I always apply lip balm before lipstick. I guess I shouldn’t with this one. Maybe that will make the lipstick look better. It feels dry on my lips maybe because of the suede effect but I don’t think it actually dries up my lips because, well, I have Carmex on. I don’t have any regrets buying these lippies but I will not buy any more. I have my eyes set on another...

December Lippies

I’m trying something new this month. I’m putting more effort into blogging my choice cosmetics so I will be presenting them by batch. Let’s start off with the lipsticks. Since it’s December, I will be using all my red lippies: Here are swatches: From left to right: MAC WonderWoman, MAC Russian Red, Estee Lauder Pure Color Berry Pink, Maybelline Rose Pearl, Maybelline Wine, Maybelline Brick Rose, Avon Rose Gold and Avon Ruby in Gold. I just discovered that the Ruby in Gold lippy came off the tube so that will probably be melted and put into a palette. My every day lipstick is pink so this December is really a welcome change. I don’t know why even after years of wearing red lipstick, I still get intimidated by it. I guess wearing red everyday will change that.

Seeing Red

Maybelline Colorsensational in Wine Maybelline Colorsensational in Brick Rose Maybelline Water Shine Pure in R22 Avon Ultra Moisture Rich  in Rose Gold Clinique Long Last Lipstick in Berry Freeze I have no idea why red lipsticks look somewhat pink on my lips. Wine and Brick Rose are kinda tricky to apply. I didn’t swatch them when I bought them because at that time I just wanted to buy red lipsticks, period. I sometimes layer these with other shades. I think Wine is very pretty on very fair girls. R22 is a very pretty shade. It’s also easy to apply and it stays true to its water shine name. I love Rose Gold because it has tiny gold specks that make my lips oh so pretty. This is the first time I’ve swiped Berry Freeze and I was surprised that  it complements my natural lip color very well. I think I’ll be using this more often. If you like wearing red lipstick, here are a few tips that might come in handy. This is what I do. It may or may not work for you. ...
