Makeup for the Teenager

If you’re a long-time follower of this blog, you’d know that I did my cousin C’s prom makeup last year. It wasn’t any different this year. Last year, I decided on a whimsical fairy theme that’s why she had blue, green pink and purple in her eyes. This year, now that she’s a bit older, I concentrated on the pinks and browns that will complement her dress. I did more mature makeup on her but still keeping with the sweet pinks associated with teenagers. I used the Naked Palette for this look. 1. Pat SIN all over the lid. 2. On the crease, I applied HUSTLE 3.On the outer v, I applied TOASTED 4. Next, I put SIDECAR on the center of each lid. Just light feathery strokes from the bottom, to the right and up will do. 5. For the highlight, I used VIRGIN 6. Finally, I lightly patted HALF BAKED all over her lids (not including crease) for the golden shimmery effect. This last step was perfect. It made all the colors shine. C was also with me during the Clinique Mini Makeover Worksh...

Working Gal Face

I think a lot of girls are faced with the everyday dilemma of what to wear and what makeup to apply. My cousin, R, is no exception so I dragged her to the Clinique Makeover Workshop. First, Baby taught her the basics of skin problems and skin care. Then, she proceeded to test the Clinique 3-Step System on the back of R’s hand. R is type 3, by the way. They also did a skin tape test: This was before the 3-Step System was applied See all those dead skin cells? See how clear that tape is after? This shows you effective the 3-Step System is. By the way, Clinique did not give me free 3-Step System products. I bought them myself and I can attest to how effective they are. Read about my review here . Then Baby prepped R’s face. Gotta remove all those EDSA pollution The 3-Step system was applied then makeup. She also taught R how to apply foundation properly. Finished product: What’s a Clinique event without a fun, Asian signature pose? Pang FB Profile pic! ...

Partying the Night Away

Meet M. She’s a reader/follower of this blog and she’s a very good friend of mine. I invited her to the Clinique Mini Makeover Workshop. She came wearing this maxi blouse/mini dress that I really like and she looked like she was going on a date. Well, she wasn’t but she was meeting a girlfriend later on. Malou, her beauty consultant asked if she wanted a natural or a party look. M and I both agreed – Party!!! You only get a few makeover’s in your life so why not glam it up, right? Before that, she was given a skin assessment. She’s lucky.  She only has a few complaints. Her skin type is: Her face was prepped using the toner and moisturizer from the 3-Step System. Like with the other girls, Malou also taught M some tips on how to care for her skin and how to apply makeup. One of the things she taught was putting loose powder on your hand then rubbing it with the other to warm it up. Then you press your hand again on your palm and pat the same hand on your face...

Beauty Report: Clinique Mini Makeover Workshop

So, today was a blast! The girls in our family had a lunch date then we went for mani-pedis at Nail Tropics. As always, my choice nail artisans did a wonderful job. My cousin C had a bad experience though. Her nail artisan cut off a piece of her skin on her right ring finger. The nail artisan said that the nipper was too sharp. Duh?? That it was newly sharpened. So why wasn’t she more careful? What the…. My cousin’s finger kept bleeding. She was already a bit dizzy because of the blood. Yes, the wound was that big! We both hate the sight of blood.  Anyway, they made up for it by giving her a GC but still. After that, we headed for some drinks at Starbucks to kill some time before the main event of the day – Clinique’s Mini Makeover Workshop! This report will be divided into 5 posts as it’s going to be very long. I will discuss different age groups and different looks  in each post. For this report, we will start with yours truly. I’m turning 29 in a month. My skin type is 2...
