  Hey, Glow Girls!  I am exhausted. It’s Monday as I write this. I just shipped the huge order from the atelier yesterday. I specifically wanted to go to this mall because it has both Flying Tiger and KKV.  The KKV branch here is big!  I finally got those two cherry mugs that I’ve been wanting to buy since my last KKV outing.  I saw this really cute cherry scrunchie, but I hardly tie my hair. I just don’t like the headache associated with it after. I try to be very gentle with my hair. Plus I think it’s because of the length that’s why I cannot tie it for long.  They have many cute scrunchies in this branch. Just look at that fun Mario multicolored pen!  I would’ve bought it in a heartbeat if it was a single color pen. Big pens just don’t suit my fingers.  And then look at these journal tabs! That is exactly my aesthetic! And look at the corner bookmark and the pirate page holder. The corner marker reminds me of the book my son’s friends gave him. It had an origami corner bookmark, too.  Line Markers. These are great! It reminds me of those reading rulers with the window in the middle, except this one tells you the last line you read.   O ne day, my hands were itching. Not the kind that asks for rest… the kind that insists on creating something , even if you don’t yet know what that something is. I was packing for a trip, slipping my usual things into place, when I picked up my travel journal. It’s small. Too small, sometimes. The kind you bring because it’s convenient… not because it’s comfortable . And I remember thinking— Wouldn’t it be nice to have something just as portable… but wider? Something that lets your thoughts stretch a little. Something that doesn’t make you fight for space when all you want to do is write. Something… pretty. Not just functional. Not just there. But something you’d want to reach for. So I made one. Just one. A small notebook. Five by five. Wide enough to breathe, small enough to carry, simple enough to not overthink. And then— I made another. And another. And another. I didn’t plan a collection. I didn’t sit down and say, this will be a product. I just kept choosing patterns ...

  The internet decided to disappear for 2.5 days. No warning. No negotiation. Just gone. At first, I reached for my phone to tether my iPad so that I can write… then eventually gave up and let the silence settle. So I went back to something slower. I spent the past few days making. Cutting paper, layering details, building little scenes piece by piece. The kind of work that doesn’t rush you, doesn’t demand anything from you except your attention. That’s how the City Cats came to life. Each one turned into its own tiny world—different colors, different moods, small details you only notice when you look a little longer.
