Mega Shopping

Yesterday, Cousin C and I went to the mall to do some baby shopping. The original plan was to stick to SM and buy everything from there. Well, I guess plans are made to be broken. Here’s what we got for the little one: Some wash cloths and a latex pillow. My son spits up a lot so he needs to sleep on an angle. He was already using the pillow when we took photos of our haul. Some blankets that we use to cover his “bed”. This is his bed by the way, courtesy of Dad: It’s’ also inclined to prevent him from throwing up a lot. Some home clothes because he is growing up so fast. It’s crazy how his current clothes don’t fit him anymore. Some going out clothes for his next doctor’s appointment. Bibs to keep his clothes clean. It’s crazy how many times we change him during the day. More bottles because he feeds a lot, well just until I can breastfeed him again. Finally, I got him this rocker. We need to entertain the little one to prevent him from gett...

The Body Shop Goodies

The Body Shop was on sale last week and I managed to get a few goodies: My Satsuma Oil is about to run out so I got this Olive Oil which my doctor highly recommends. It was on sale.  I also got these two soaps in Strawberry and Mango. I’ve read good reviews about the Strawberry Soap while my SIL recommends the Mango scent. By the way, I finally found the photo of  the heart cranberry soap that I reviewed a couple of weeks back: It’s a shame that I dropped this but this was the reason why I bought the bar soaps. As you know, I’m not a huge fan of bar soaps but I’m willing to give them a try because of this. I admit that I am fairly new to the brand’s products. If you have any recommendations as to what I should try, feel free to drop a comment. = )

Weekend Shopping

Saizen Daiso is having a Hello Kitty festival so I asked MB if we could visit the Market! Market! branch to check out what’s on offer last Saturday. There were tote bags, eye masks, contacts cases, eyelash cases, combs, face towels, etc. I got these: I needed a rat tail comb and this was the last black one. The other one is white. I also got these nail files. There are two designs. I initially wanted to buy the tote but I put it back because I already have tons of shopping totes plus the size of that will just not suffice. If I bring a shopping tote with me, that means I’ll be buying a lot so I need a big bag. I also wanted to buy the set of 3 cups but they were too small and I’m a big water drinker. I also got this water bottle: I liked the green one but my husband said that he liked this better. It’s very rare that my husband offers his opinion so I got this lavender one instead. The family from Singapore sent us a bunch of stuff and one of them is an insulated bag. I...

Weekend Shopping

My husband and I had to work from home during the Holy Week. It’s okay as we got to spend time together. We were lucky on Saturday and Sunday though as we were able to get out of the house for a while. We watched a movie last Saturday and did a bit of shopping. Here’s what I bought: Of course, I had to visit Watsons. I got a few things aside from those pictured here. I also saw that this makeup remover was on sale. It was now only Php335. It used to be 400+. I’ve been wanting to try it but I thought that the price was too steep for a makeup remover. Luckily, it was on sale when I went there. I got this So Soft brand hand wash. I did a quick calculation and this is much cheaper than the in-house brand that we regularly use. I hope this works out as these are big bottles and will last a long time. From Japan Home Center, I bought a few house stuff and these: Eyelash Case. I have a ton of them lying around. I don’t use them regularly as I have very sensitive eyes but I do ...

Sunday Shopping

Oh, how I missed Sunday Shopping! I’ve been stuck in the house forever! Fortunately, I was feeling better last Sunday and so MB and I made a quick trip to the mall to buy a few things. I only went to Forever 21 because everything that I need is there. I got a few pastel camis: I also bought a few assorted stuff: Socks for my travel bag, Etude House Mascara Remover from Beauty by SM, F21 earrings, denim shorts with braided details on the waistband and a surprise buy, a pair of sandals! These are size 6 but they actually fit me and they are so cheap at only a little over Php500! That’s all for this week’s edition of Sunday Shopping. I really enjoyed this haul because I got to pay using my BDO Rewards points! Woot!

Sunday Shopping

My tailbone was hurting so bad one Saturday night that I got up late the following morning and missed church. MB and I decided to just have brunch in the mall and do a little bit of shopping. Don’t worry, my ban is still enforced and all I bought were necessities. We went to SM to buy a few things. I was having problems with my lipstick organizer as it was too heavy and bulky. I will blog more on that on another post. I saw these organizers at SM and got 2. MB had to buy a few things at True Value. He got what he needed and also got me these. I’ve been looking for sturdy cable clips forever for all our gadgets and stuff. These are perfect. I will buy one more set. I’ve been organizing our room like crazy and little things such as cables annoy me. I will use the Ivory soaps to clean my makeup brushes. More on that soon. The  soap dish is of course, for the Ivory. Finally, MB got me a pair of shorts. This is what I wear at home. I also got a bottle of Ellana Brush...

Sunday Shopping

Ahhh, Sunday! I love Sundays because I get to spend time with my family, go to church, have lunch and do a little bit of shopping. I’m supposed to be on a shopping ban but that failed one Saturday. I was buying a few things for the family in Singapore and well, one thing lead to another. At least I’m still keeping my makeup shopping ban. If I can finish even just one palette, I’d be so thrilled. Anyway, I bought mostly necessities except for the bags from SM. I got some toiletries from Watsons (wet tissues, cotton pads, Lulur Body Scrub) and some essentials from Bench. If you like using cotton pads, I suggest you get the Watsons brand on promo. They have a 3 in 1 pack with each pack having 40% more free. It’s really sulit , I tell you. I probably wouldn’t have to buy cotton pads for the next 8 months (or even a year!) but I’m stocking up on them as they rarely have promos on cotton pads.  You see, I don’t like buying these things on a regular basis. I hate running out of cotto...

Shopping Again?

I know I said I’m on a shopping ban but I have to do the groceries, right? *evil grin* I found a few goodies at the supermarket and I figured it won’t be so bad to purchase a few. After all, I don’t consider the supermarket as a shopping destination. Grocery shopping for me is a chore and shopping (for clothes, makeup, etc. )is well, therapeutic. And that is what banned right now.   Camay has been around for some time now. I think it left Philippine shores for a while. Now they’ve repackaged and got a famous local endorser. I couldn’t resist because they smelled like grapefruit! They smell just like my Love and Beauty lotion! The bar costs Php22 while the shower gel costs Php65. Don’t buy the shower gel at Watsons because it costs Php74 there. Buy it from your favorite supermarket. It will take a while before I use these though. Perfumed linen sheets. I know this is not an exciting purchase but it took some time before linen sheets became available in our supermarke...

Sunday Shopping

Watsons is on sale again and that means I need to stock up on some of our essentials. MB and I are on a tight budget as we have a lot of things going on. We finally found an apartment and it’s not the size of shoebox, thank God! That’s just one of our concerns right now so we are keeping a close watch on our budget. It’s fortunate that we ran out of body wash the same time Watsons is holding a sale. I saw in their Facebook page that they had one brand of body wash on sale for only Php99 at BOGO so I definitely had to have it. We went to SM as I thought they had plenty of stock there. Turns out, it’s sold out so we went back to Greenbelt. Before I continue, here’s what I got: This is the Aqua Vera Body Wash. I cleaned the shelf on this one. I mentioned that in FB, Watsons said that this costs Php99. Today it costs Php109.75. I asked the SA why the price is higher and she said that they just raised the prices. How convenient! Anyway, it’s just a few pesos and it’s still a steal s...
