Carmi at Clinique

This is a late post. So sorry, as you know I’m at a bazaar again. Well, actually, I am in the bazaar as I write this. LOL. Last Saturday, I was able to meet Carmi who won a Clinique Gift from my Thanksgiving Giveaway. There were 3 who won but it was only Carmi who was able to claim her prize personally. Because of that, she was treated to a consultation and makeover by Clinique Beauty Expert Dindin. Pretty Carmi Here she is being  educated by Dindin on the skin care regimen she should use. I wasn’t feeling too swell that day. I was exhausted from driving all morning and to top that, my period came early so Baby decided to prettify me to look presentable to Carmi. Here’s what she did: I’ll make a separate post for the close up look. Here’s everybody: Hey Carmi, I hope you had fun that day. So sorry I wasn’t my usual bubbly self (during Clinique events). Now you know why. And I hope you and your boyfriend learned a lot! Enjoy your prize and thanks for joining! Thank y...

Partying the Night Away

Meet M. She’s a reader/follower of this blog and she’s a very good friend of mine. I invited her to the Clinique Mini Makeover Workshop. She came wearing this maxi blouse/mini dress that I really like and she looked like she was going on a date. Well, she wasn’t but she was meeting a girlfriend later on. Malou, her beauty consultant asked if she wanted a natural or a party look. M and I both agreed – Party!!! You only get a few makeover’s in your life so why not glam it up, right? Before that, she was given a skin assessment. She’s lucky.  She only has a few complaints. Her skin type is: Her face was prepped using the toner and moisturizer from the 3-Step System. Like with the other girls, Malou also taught M some tips on how to care for her skin and how to apply makeup. One of the things she taught was putting loose powder on your hand then rubbing it with the other to warm it up. Then you press your hand again on your palm and pat the same hand on your face...

My New 3-Step Skin Care Routine

I have tried many products to cleanse, protect and maintain/improve my skin. When I was a teen, I was very loyal to Pond’s. When I took steroids, my skin became very sensitive to products. I suddenly  became allergic to products that I’ve been using for years. So, my quest for a new skin care line has begun. From Pond’s, I went to Celeteque then to Etude House then to The Face Shop Cleanser. Celeteque was okay but I felt that it wasn’t enough. Etude House was better than Celeteque but I felt that there is still something better out there. I tried the TFS facial wash and I was very satisfied. I thought it couldn’t be better until I found this: (Prior to this, I used Garnier moisturizer and Nivea Sparkling White Toner.) I am Skin Type 2 on the Clinique 3-Step System. I will not sugar coat this. These products do not smell nice. They smell like something a doctor would give you but in saying that, they also work like something a doctor would give you. I saw results immediately. M...

Beauty Report: Clinique Mini Makeover Workshop

So, today was a blast! The girls in our family had a lunch date then we went for mani-pedis at Nail Tropics. As always, my choice nail artisans did a wonderful job. My cousin C had a bad experience though. Her nail artisan cut off a piece of her skin on her right ring finger. The nail artisan said that the nipper was too sharp. Duh?? That it was newly sharpened. So why wasn’t she more careful? What the…. My cousin’s finger kept bleeding. She was already a bit dizzy because of the blood. Yes, the wound was that big! We both hate the sight of blood.  Anyway, they made up for it by giving her a GC but still. After that, we headed for some drinks at Starbucks to kill some time before the main event of the day – Clinique’s Mini Makeover Workshop! This report will be divided into 5 posts as it’s going to be very long. I will discuss different age groups and different looks  in each post. For this report, we will start with yours truly. I’m turning 29 in a month. My skin type is 2...
