Lady E's Favorite Things: July 2025 Edit (Three Luxuries I'm Loving This Month and One That Missed the Mark)

It’s  taken me years to find pieces that feel like home to my skin and soul… someday I’ll share the ones I created myself. I’ve always believed in curating moments, not just things. Whether it’s the click of a favorite pen, the weight of a beloved moisturizer, or the scent of a shampoo that lingers like a memory — what we surround ourselves with speaks volumes about how we choose to live. ✨ My soft rituals help me stay sane while running businesses and my household. Whether I’m building systems, brainstorming brand direction, or simply choosing what scent to wear while I write, I honor beauty, utility, and energy alignment. These are the objects that made my month softer, smarter, and more luxurious — and one that just didn’t vibe with me. Laneige Water Bank I reach for this moisturizer after I shower, when I'm all alone in the room, locked door, and I could just breathe, and be myself. It's a part of my after-shower ritual that I savor slowly. I apply the moisturizer on my fac...

Testing Out BYS Cloudskin Foundation on Rosacea Skin and Mumuso Breathable Vegan Nail Polish

It was a gloomy Friday. My chores were done. My son was doing independent work. What's a girl gotta do? Product testing, of course!   BYS CloudSkin Foundation I was excited for this BYS CloudSkin Foundation because their eye liner really worked well for me . I have textured skin because of papulopustular rosacea (from many years of steroids, NSAIDs, and anti-depressants from 2 misdiagnosed autoimmune diseases), so I'm not really a fan of matte foundations. My friend, who recommended this, said that it's more of a blurring type than full-on matte, so I tried it.  This is the medium shade.  Here it is on my face. It matches my skin, but it also emphasized the pustules on my face. It still has a matte finish going on there. It also gave me a white cast. I couldn't decide if it was pretty or too much. It really gave that blurred, cloudy skin effect but I felt like I looked too white.  3.5 hours in, the part of my cheek near my nose was already cakey.  I tried...

Soft Life Saturdays: Beauty, Shopping, Curated Purchases, and Holding It Together

This is gonna be a picture-heavy post so I might break it down into 2 or 3 parts.  I spent last Saturday shopping with my family. Of course I had to apply makeup before going out. And this was the perfect time to try out my new BYS Queen Bee palette!  BYS Queen Bee Palette Review Let's unbox it, shall we? A closer look at the eyeshadows: I used Hive Mind, Dew, Sweet, and Pollen for this look.  I used my NARS Primer  on my lids before applying the eyeshadows. They're very pigmented and blendable.  The palette is sturdy as it's a tin can. The mirror inside is wide and clear. The pink part that houses the eye shadows is plastic though, and feels flimsy. But I guess this is a more environment-friendly type of plastic. That's BYS commitment to the environment.  The only shade I won't be able to wear here is Lush. But everything else, I can incorporate them into day or night looks. I'll tell you more about it as we progress in my day.  While my son was havin...

(LATE) Haul-Over Wednesday - MUMUSO

This post is late. It's not Wednesday. It's Friday here. I was supposed to upload this last Wednesday, but Lady Flo arrived, so I've been on bed rest.  Without further ado, here's my Mumuso Haul: Nail polish. I love dark and glittery, shimmery nail polish. Makes me feel so luxurious. I'm not sure about the shade of that vegan breathable nail polish though. I got it because I was curious about the "breathable" bit.  How pretty are these??? And it has more than 5 plant extracts to protect nails?! Yes, please!  Rose Cuticle Oil and Aloe Vera Nourishing Nail Polish Remover Pads Vitamin C Gentle Makeup Remover Deep Cleansing Foam Bonus haul from Daiso: Hand-knit Japanese dish sponges. I am loving these! I'll write about them in my food blog soon.  Stay tuned because I'm going on a deep dive with each of these products. Happy weekend, everyone! Any exciting plans? Me, I'm going shopping!  Follow me on Instagram for my hauls: @lifebyladye
