Another Amazing TFS Brush!

I used to believe that only the expensive, branded brushes are good. I was surely proven wrong with the TFS Circle Brush and this angled brush from The Face Shop. This costs only 315 pesos, if I’m not mistaken. I can’t believe I’ve been ignoring this brush. This works so well with my gel liners, both Maybelline and Bobbi Brown. The hairs are soft but they’re arranged in such a way that they are stiff and strong so they draw a nice line. This is also great when making cat eyes. I also love that the bristles are short unlike my Bobbi Brown angled brush. It’s also very easy to clean with the Ellana Brush Cleaner and very easy to rinse out with Sunsilk green. I used this brush for my wedding gig and I’m satisfied with the results. I will probably buy a backup when I get another makeup gig. If you need a cheat brush for cat eyes, I recommend this brush.

Circle Face Brush

I’ve been looking for the perfect circle brush for my foundation application forever! The search has finally ended with The Face Shop’s Face It Circle Face Brush. I love, love this brush! I don’t have anything negative to say about it. I’ve used it to apply liquid foundation, BB cream and cream foundation. I also used it to apply powder blush and cheek stains and I’ve had no problems with it. Although, I have to say that this is best used for liquid foundation application. I reach out for this brush when I use my Revlon PhotoReady Foundation. I have yet to use this for contouring and highlighter application. The brush is so soft. It costs around Php575. MB got this for me. I returned to TFS to buy another one for my makeup gig but they sold out! The box comes with a guide that teaches you different techniques on applying different products. I apply foundation using a circular motion and buff it out. The guide says that this brush has fine hairs to fill in pores and cre...

Make Me Classy

After a month of using my Sigma Make Me Classy Brush Set, I am now ready to give a decent review of them. Here’s the case which is very useful as I use one part to store my clean brushes in and the other part to store the dirty ones in. The only thing I didn’t like about this was the scratch. Yes, my case was scratched. I ordered this from the US and so I have no choice but to keep it. The clasps can sometimes be annoying too. They’re a bit hard to close. Here are the brushes: This set includes 12 brushes: 1. Large Powder brush 2.Duo Fibre brush 3. Foundation brush 4. Tapered Blending brush 5. Concealer brush 6. Small Angle brush 7. Large Angled Contour brush 8. Large Shader brush 9. Pencil brush 10. Eye Shading brush 11. Medium Angled Shading brush 12. Eyeliner brush I like the fact that each brush is labeled with its name and number. These brushes very rarely shed (wet or dry). The large powder brush still bleeds whenever I deep clean it. The Duo Fibre also b...

The Real Deal with Charm

I am a huge fan of the first set of Charm Travel Pro Brushes that’s why I pre-ordered version 2. I love my first set to bits, I use them everyday. That is why, you should understand that it is not my intention to bad mouth Charm. I’m just wondering why all of the reviews I’ve read about this set are great. They are raving. I don’t get it. I may not be a professional makeup artist nor do I know everything there is to know about makeup and makeup brushes but I think I know a bad product when I see one, more so, use one. This will be a series of posts as it’s going to be too long if I write everything in this post. Let’s start with the makeup case: This is the reason for the delayed delivery. The seller had to return the first batch because of some minor problems. No biggie. I’ve already been waiting for a month, no harm waiting for one more week. The case is okay. It has holders inside for the brushes. You might have already seen the brushes inside the case so I won’t show a photo o...

More Marionnaud Brushes!

I love Marionnaud brushes! They’re very affordable and in my opinion, they’re very useful and perform really well.   Marionnaud Assorted Brushes with case I bought these three brushes when they were on sale, sometime in July. I got them for around Php40 each!!! Even now, almost 2 months after, I still smile every time I pick up any of these brushes because I remember that great bargain! Marionnaud Eye Shadow Brush, Pointed Eye Shadow Brush, Spoolie with Slanted Brush Let’s examine them one by one. First, the eye shadow brush: Marionnaud N35 Yeux Brush I don’t use this brush that often especially when I’m in a hurry because the head is smaller compared to my other e/s brushes. But, it’s very useful for more precise application or if you have monolids. Because of the small head, you can control the amount and coverage area of the shadow. You can create lids if and when needed.   Close-up The only thing I don’t like about this brush is the e/s sticks to it like glue. I ...
