The One I Missed

I read the Dior email too late and missed out on the Lucky Clover collection. It was sold out by the time I texted EJ, my Dior Ambassador. He said there were only a few pieces that arrived and it sold out fast. I was busy in the atelier.  I used to think missing out meant I had to find the next-best thing. But I didn’t want the next-best thing. I wanted the pretty little clover lipstick case.  The lipstick was available but the case was sold out, so I left without buying anything. Maybe healing also looks like this sometimes. Not scrambling. Not compensating. Not buying something I didn’t really want just because the thing I wanted was gone. Sometimes I can simply say, I missed it. And let that be okay. Something better will come soon.  —- With elegance and quiet fire, Lady E Founder, Glow by Lady E  An editorial space for stories, art, and intentional living

Holiday Fridate Part 4: Venice Grand Canal Mall - KKV

Hey, Glow Girls!  I am exhausted. It’s Monday as I write this. I just shipped the huge order from the atelier yesterday. I’ll show you what I made for this client either in Issue 04 or on a separate post.  Today, I really need to finish my Holiday Fridate series! This is a really long one. Probably will take 2 more posts. We’ll see.  So the next stop was KKV. I specifically wanted to go to this mall because it has both Flying Tiger and KKV.  The KKV branch here is big!  I finally got those two cherry mugs that I’ve been wanting to buy since my last KKV outing.  I saw this really cute cherry scrunchie, but I hardly tie my hair. I just don’t like the headache associated with it after. I try to be very gentle with my hair. Plus I think it’s because of the length that’s why I cannot tie it for long.  They have many cute scrunchies in this branch. I wish I could buy them especially this one with the crocheted cherries!  And then there’s thing. I...

Almost - Charles & Keith

We were on our way to Kinokuniya when we passed by Charles and Keith. I thought maybe I’d look around to see if their stock is any  different than Greenbelt’s.  And yes, very different. They had a lot of items that aren’t available in my local branch.  I have noticed that day that a lot of women were wearing this particular style of shoes. Not exactly this but something that resembles this. Found two women wearing them at Muji alone.  Look at the adorable strawberry heel!  But experience taught me not to trust C&K straps.  Did you read my post about my pretty pink shoes?  There’s a white version of this too, that I really liked.  Lately, I’ve been consciously looking for heeled shoes. It seems my lower back can’t handle flats anymore because of my scoliosis.  It sounds weird, I know, but that’s how I feel.  Such a nice structured bag! I love these bags, too, but they’re too big for me.  My shoulders and scapula can’t hand...

While the Pages Are Becoming

Nineteen days have passed since our last issue, and almost a week since I quietly waved from this little corner of the internet. I’m still here. Issue 03 is taking shape, just not all at once. Some pages are written in long stretches of focus. Others arrive between packing orders, refilling tape, answering messages, and waiting for the Cricut to finish another cut. The work behind Glow has never looked particularly glamorous. After nine days of staying in, cabin fever finally won, so I slipped out for a few hours. I wandered through shops, admired beautiful things, came home with a little inspiration, and remembered that stepping outside sometimes feeds the pages just as much as sitting in front of them. Yes, that’s a My Melody paper plate 😊 with Mochi Donuts from Dunkin’ Donuts and Cobbs Popcorn Back at my desk, writing continued with a pink doughnut, bright yellow popcorn, and whatever little treat happened to be nearby. Not because it was perfectly styled, but because creativ...

Things That Caught my Eye at Charles and Keith - Part 2: Shoe Spotlight

I went to Charles and Keith to look for shoes. True to form, C&K delivers sleek designs that balance comfort, modernity, and a touch of chic. Here are a few standouts that caught my eye: Yara Patent Mary Jane Flats in Cream, Red & Black Mary Janes are making a comeback, and C&K’s version feels grown-up yet playful. The square toe modernizes the look, while the bold red option adds just the right pop of color. I can see the cream pair for day events, the red for statement outfits, and the black as a versatile staple.  These won't suit my petite frame, though. 😁 Knotted Accent Slide Sandals in Black & White These are the ones I actually brought home! 🤍🖤 The gold knot detail elevates the minimalist design, making them look far more expensive than their price tag. They’re perfect for quick errands, casual meetups, or even pairing with linen trousers for a polished weekend look.  This is the only pair I packed for Vigan! It's really versatile that it...
