Currently Loving: 5 Soft Luxe Little Joys This Week

There’s something about slowing down and noticing the little things that make life sweeter. This week, I’ve been savoring moments and items that don’t scream luxury, but whisper it in the gentlest way. From a mundane hygiene product to a treat I couldn’t resist, here are five things making my days softer, warmer, and just a little more luxe. 1 — Miniso Golden Cap Oil-Based Nail Polish I got this from one of our Miniso trips. The thing that caught my eye? The golden cap. Just look at that bottle! It looks so luxe! It’s that quiet kind of luxury — the one that doesn’t shout, but makes you feel like you have a little secret every time you glance at your hands. Then of course, the shade! Green is my favorite color, especially forest green and dark greens, so I immediately grabbed this.  I normally don't clean up my polish because I wash a lot of dishes and keep washing my hands and the excess just naturally gets washed off.  This is an oil-based polish. I talked abou...

Soft Luxe Days: Little Luxuries, Oil-Based Nail Polish Benefits, & Curated Purchases from BYS

There’s a quiet magic in little luxuries — the kind that doesn’t shout, but whispers. This past week was all about savoring those small, elegant moments that make life feel softer, warmer, and just a little more luxe. From everyday beauty rituals to a BYS haul that made my heart flutter, here’s a peek into the small joys that lit up my days. A Soft Luxe Week Begins And what a soft luxe week it was because Lady Flo was visiting. I wrote all about my Sacred Rest Ritual here . I also made my Sacred Inhaler to use during red days .  I had fatigue and didn't know what to cook one day for breakfast. Add to that, our fridge was running empty. I decided to toss a bunch of things together and came up with this potato-hotdog hash : I added pizza cheese and Chick-Fil-A sauce My son loved this so much that he finished about 3/4 of the pan. I ate 1/4. It’s funny how the simplest kitchen experiments, made on low-energy days, can turn into the week’s most heartwarming memory. Mini Moments Th...

New in My Collection

While we are in the subject of nails, here’s what’s new in my collection: From Left to Right: China Glaze Sunshine Pop, Electric Beat, Knotty, OPI for Sephora. I can’t wait to try Sunshine Pop! How do you wear your nail polish? Do you rotate them (like I do) or do you just wear whatever you feel like wearing on a particular day?

December 2012 Nails

This post is late but better late than never. In December, I went for reds and sparklies to go with the festive mood. The top one is from the OPI Burlesque collection. The second one is from Etude House. The third one is Glee for OPI and the last one is a combination of Burlesque and Glee. For January, I will go for green polishes. I just hope I have enough greens in my stash to last me the whole month. I really like this system as I get to finish a lot of bottles.

I Love This!

I’m loving this nail polish shade right now. This is Hey Sailor from China Glaze. This was available at Hyphen but for some reason, people were ignoring it so I just got it for myself. It’s a very bright, cheery red. Cheery is not reserved for yellows in my dictionary. I’m having a ‘blah’ day so I decided to paint my nails while taking a break from work. I’m not quite sure if I’ve already blogged about this but it doesn’t matter. I’m loving it right now!

The Chanel Nail Polish Disaster

I got this nail polish last year. When I went abroad, I immediately looked for this at different Chanel boutiques. Unfortunately, the collection hasn’t arrived there yet. When I got home, I checked out Rustan’s and to my surprise, the bottle was there! And it was the last one so I immediately got it. Chanel Mimosa Well, my joy lasted for only a while because when I used it, it was a big disappointment. The product clumps up on my nails even after several minutes of the first coat. The second coat is always a struggle. And you can’t just apply one coat because the color is so thin. (It’s very pretty though with some subtle sparklies). On some nails it’s okay but there’s always one that gets ruined. Here. I opted to apply the nail polish on just one nail but it still got ruined so I covered it up with a nail sticker. All ruined… = ( I don’t know if all Chanel nail polish are like this but I don’t think I’ll be trying another one soon. It is indeed a very pretty color but it’s not...

Foil Nails

I super love the color and texture of this nail polish! It looks like my nails are covered in foil! The Face Shop Nail Polish GL112 But… It chips off easily. See here and photo above: The edges were already chipped when I woke up. I applied nail polish the night before, had them dried then slept. This nail polish didn’t last the whole day! My nails were only half colored by the time I punched out of the office. They were literally chipping and peeling off all throughout the day! This costs Php95 at your suking The Face Shop and I probably won’t buy this again.
