Window Shopping at BBW: Still Beautiful, Just Not for Me Anymore

I ’ve always loved Bath & Body Works. The colors, the themes, the storytelling… it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like a little girl again, especially with the Disney Princess collection.

Simple Joys: Enchanted Midnight Dreams and the Satisfaction in Finishing Products

I've been pampering myself a lot these past few days, and finding joy in the simple things. (Burn out is real.) One of the things I like doing is applying nail polish on my nails. I used to this a lot when I was younger. I stopped when I became pregnant. It's only lately that I started doing this again. There's just something about colored nails that make me smile throughout the day.  It might sound shallow for some, but if you're like me, who does the work of 5 people every day, my hands constantly washing, cooking, cleaning, creating, a little burst of color lightens the load.  This is a KKV nail polish so there's no shade name. As always, I'm naming it. I call it Enchanted Midnight Dreams.  When I opened the bottle, I had a feeling it was an old stock. You can see the nail polish all over the rim. But the sticker was intact. Hmm.. Anyway, the nail polish wasn't thick or looked old. It was still easy to apply.  A Trick I Learned Remember when this happen...

The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Tissue Review

Shoutout to my beautiful readers in Norway! You were number 1 yesterday! And I discovered something interesting. At 3:36 am yesterday (your time), 19 of you from Norway were reading my blog! I am honored to keep you company during those wee hours in the morning. Whether you were preparing for your day, can't sleep, or just decompressing, I hope you found something useful and inspiring here.  If you’ve ever had to wipe away makeup with a rosacea flare in full swing, you know the stakes are high. I've been using The Face Shop’s Herb Day Cleansing Tissue for about two months now—and I was pleasantly surprised. Even with my ultra-sensitive, flaring skin, this held up beautifully. These wipes are gentle, with a light scent that doesn't overpower. What’s more, the fragrance fades nicely once you rinse your face. I always follow up with my go-to White Seed cleanser and everything feels clean afterwards. This isn’t my first rodeo with the Herb Day line. I used the Herb Day Cleansi...

Cherry-Covered Calm with Dove

If I had to describe this soap in one word, it would be: spa. 🛁 The Dove Cherry & Chia Milk Beauty Bar doesn’t just cleanse — it caresses. Soft cherry notes greet you the moment you unwrap it, and somehow, it makes even the tiniest bathroom feel like a full-on wellness retreat. The scent? Fruity, floral, and softly creamy, like your skin’s wearing a robe and sipping tea. 😌 And unlike other fragranced soaps that leave my dry skin gasping, this one actually leaves me feeling a little more moisturized — not sticky, not tight, just… soft. And my skin really smells like cherries after showering!  I'm also happy because, finally, after many years of using just plain Dove for sensitive skin ( I have MCAS/histamine) , my skin is strong enough to try scented soaps!  💧 But here’s the hack: Layer it. I pair it with The Face Shop Avocado Body Lotion (review soon) for a deeper moisture hug, or The Face Shop Pamplemousse (Pink Grapefruit - review soon!) Lotion when I want to p...

My The Face Shop Baguio Curated Purchases + White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam Review

T his is a part of my Baguio 2025 Series.  Whenever we're in Baguio, I always drop by SM. I know we have tons of SM here in Manila, but there's something magical about SM Baguio for me. I always find the perfect-fitting clothes or discover new HG skincare, etc. This trip wasn't an exception. I visited The Face Shop just to look around, but found the White Seed Facial Wash! It's always out of stock in Manila. I grabbed both tubes, of course! The attendant said that's their last two! I told her that it's so hard to find it in Manila. Aside from that, I also found this Pamplemousse (Grapefruit) Lotion. My son and I have been using the Avocado version of this line, and we are very happy with it. (Review coming soon!) Let me tell you a little something about TFS' White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam and why it has a cult following, from the perspective of someone who has very sensitive and rosacea/MCAS/histamine flare-prone skin. Texture It has the perfect tex...

Ilog Maria Lavender Honey Soap

I am very fond of lavender products. They help me relax and sleep better. This soap did the exact opposite. I'm allergic to this soap. Makes me wonder why when this is all natural. I developed big, map like rashes after bathing. I didn't have any adverse reactions to the milk and honey soap. Hmmm... Maybe it's the oatmeal? Or maybe it's the fragrance? The smell is too potent. MB doesn't like it either. He likes the milk and honey soap better. If you have sensitive skin, watch out for this product.
