My Top Concealers

I blogged about my top liquid concealers for my under eyes. Now, here are my favorite concealers. First is the Tinted Eye Brightener from Bobbi Brown which is also included in the other concealer post. It’s really a good versatile concealer. Next is the Erase Paste from Benefit. I got this pot from my Confessions of a Concealaholic palette. This is the best concealer in that palette. It’s very versatile too. Then there’s the Bobbi Brown Corrector. This is technically not a concealer but I can actually use this alone. I didn’t buy the concealer anymore as this gives me good coverage already. I’ve also been saving this and I only use this on special occasions. I already bought a backup pot because as you can see, it’s running out. This is the best in the bunch. Finally, the NARS Custard and Ginger duo which I depotted. I haven’t been using this for a while but when I did, I was really amazed. It glided so smoothly on my super dry skin and it didn’t cake the whole day! The Erase...

VS Camouflage FX Concealer Palette

I am slowly catching up with my backlog posts. I’m down with the flu but I’m really inspired to blog. I spent the morning taking photos of the products that I will blog. Hopefully I can get them all done today. Here’s a concealer palette that’s been sitting on my vanity, waiting to be featured in my blog: It’s made in the US by Victoria’s Secret. We carried this at Hyphen and this is the last palette. Apparently, this is what the makeup artists use backstage for the VS Fashion Show. You can mix the shades to create a custom shade. It features 3 concealers and 2 correctors. The green one is used to counter redness like blemishes and the apricot one is used to correct dark spots. The apricot one is very good if you have dark skin. I tried the apricot corrector once when I had really dark under-eyes and it works. Actually, one of the MAC’s senior makeup artists suggest to use apricot for Indian and Middle Eastern women. It blends beautifully with their skin tone. This conce...

Boi-Ing!

This is still part of the Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic palette. These are Boi-Ing 1 and 2. I already hit pan on both because these are my everyday concealers. I combine both to get the perfect shade. I use this under my eyes, on the sides of my nose and on other blemishes. They’re really good and last the whole day. Sometimes they crease on the area under my eyes, sometimes they don’t. It all depends on the condition of my skin. I can’t wait to finish this as I have more concealers to use.

Cover Everything

This is the ELF Cover Everything Concealer: It’s very affordable for less than Php150 plus I got this on sale at 20% off. There’s nothing special about this concealer. It works but I have to re-apply every now and then. For that price, you can’t expect much right? But for everyday use, this is a good concealer. I just don’t like the clay smell so I stopped using it. I used to put this in my makeup kit so I can have a midday touchup. I apply a combination of Benefit Boi-ing 1 and 2 at home then use this ELF concealer for touchups. This concealer also does not react too much to my acidic skin so that’s a plus for me. This is a good budget concealer to have in your stash. Oh, I also noticed that there are a lot of Filipinas that are not familiar with concealers. We carry a lot of concealers in Hyphen and in the store, a lot of customers ask me what the concealer sticks are for. I explain to them how it’s used and then they exclaim, “so that’s how actresses hide their eye bags...

ELF Under Eye Concealer and Highlighter

This is still a continuation of the reviews of my ELF Haul. I have been intrigued by this product from the very first time I saw it. I just didn’t purchase right away because I have a love-hate relationship with ELF products. It was on sale at only Php224.80 so I finally got one. Some of the reviews I read did not like the concealer as they said it didn’t do a good job of hiding their dark circles. I don’t have dark under eyes so this product works for me. I love the fact that it’s light and doesn’t make that area look too cakey. I love that it’s in liquid form. I think liquid concealers are great especially for my under eye area as I can easily blend it. I make sure to wipe the applicator first before inserting it back into the tube to keep it clean. As for the highlighter, if you are looking for a cheap, everyday highlighter, I would recommend this. It does what it says on the box. It brightens the area where you apply it. I think I’m not used to liquid highlighters (exc...
