Going Back to Garnier

I used Garnier products when I was a young adult. I don't know why I stopped using them but recently, I had the chance to try them again starting with these: I must say, I bought them because they were 50% off at Watsons sometime in November. I found them at the Walter Mart branch and grabbed a bunch along with some Dove body wash which were also at 50% off.  I use the serum creams to moisturize my super dry elbows and knees. They are actually the only products I've tried that make my elbows and knees soft to touch. They are normally rough and scaly even with lotion. I use them at night, before going to bed. The face scrub is also great. I use it on nights after removing my makeup to really get rid of the dirt on my face. They are gentle enough and don't cause any rashes or breakouts. I'm really loving Garnier again so I'll be on the lookout for more promos, new products and of course sales!

My HG Foundie

I realized that I haven’t blogged about my HG Foundation: I’ve been using it for months now and I am very, very satisfied with it. I have tried foundations from Bobbi Brown, MAC, Shu Uemura and Clinique and I can definitely say that this tops the list. If you’re wondering about all the fuss with a foundation, you see, I have super acidic skin.  My face  gets really dark after just a few minutes of makeup application. Even my makeup mentor had a hard time finding the right combination of products for me. I wandered to the Paul & Joe counter at Rustan’s Makati because of my friend Sugar. She is a Paul & Joe addict! So naturally, I just had to try them out. The SA’s at the counter are very friendly and very helpful so don’t get intimidated when you visit them. I had a lot of questions and they were obviously very knowledgeable about their products. This is a bit pricey for a foundation, Php1000+. Like all high end foundations, you have to buy the compact and the fou...

Mung beans for your face

Today, we will talk about munggo . I love ginisang munggo (sauteed mung beans) but unfortunately, my knees hurt whenever I eat this dish so I try to avoid it as much as possible or try to resist it anyway. Luckily, The Face Shop offers mung beans in a different form: You may recognize this photo from a haul post back in October. I’ve been using the Herb Day Cleansing Foam in Mung Beans ever since and I can truly say that I’m very satisfied with it. The label says for all skin types. I did have a few rashes on my first week of usage but I think that’s because my skin was still adjusting. After that, I didn’t have break outs anymore. I like the scent. You’ll be surprised that it smells differently from what we believe to be a mung bean’s scent. It lathers nicely with the bubble net but you can also use it in its original form as it is very creamy. Just be careful when you press the tube as the product slips out very easily. It’s not a thick cream like Pond’s. The color is a nice gre...
