Clearing Space for What I Actually Want

Lipsticks that no longer suit me. Colors that looked right once, but don’t anymore. Products I kept reaching for out of habit, not desire. It seems small. But it isn’t. Because every time I keep something that doesn’t fit… I make it harder to see what actually does. At first, it felt uncomfortable. Do I really want to do this? Some products look promising on the outside I took one last long look at my things and let them go.  The empty drawers are now homes for products that look good on me. Products that I know I will use down to the last drop.  Now there’s room. Room to notice what I actually like. Room to choose instead of default. Room to feel the difference between something that is simply there… and something that truly belongs. Clearing space is not about deprivation. It is about precision. It is the quiet act of saying: This is not it. So that when something right appears… you recognize it immediately. And what I’ve found is this— The things I t...

Soft Luxe Travels: What's in My Beauty Bag for Vigan

Whenever I travel, I try to strike a balance between bringing enough makeup to feel put together and not overpacking. For my Vigan trip, I curated a mix of tried-and-true staples and versatile products that could handle long road trips, sudden rain showers, and nights out at Calle Crisologo. My makeup bag for this trip Makeup Brushes & Tools The makeup bag has a place for storing brushes. I brought the following brushes: blush brush concealer brush eyebrow brush bronzer brush different eye shadow brushes blending brush These brushes fit perfectly in the case, making them easy to pack and grab on the go. However, the garter to hold the brushes is too big, so the brushes kept falling out whenever I opened the bag! My solution was to bunch as many brushes in one compartment so they won't fall out easily.  Face Base BYS Full Coverage Foundation  – reliable for long wear and humidity. Review soon!  NARS Soft Matte Primer – I use this for my eyelids.  BYS Hybr...

Currently Loving: 5 Soft Luxe Little Joys This Week

There’s something about slowing down and noticing the little things that make life sweeter. This week, I’ve been savoring moments and items that don’t scream luxury, but whisper it in the gentlest way. From a mundane hygiene product to a treat I couldn’t resist, here are five things making my days softer, warmer, and just a little more luxe. 1 — Miniso Golden Cap Oil-Based Nail Polish I got this from one of our Miniso trips. The thing that caught my eye? The golden cap. Just look at that bottle! It looks so luxe! It’s that quiet kind of luxury — the one that doesn’t shout, but makes you feel like you have a little secret every time you glance at your hands. Then of course, the shade! Green is my favorite color, especially forest green and dark greens, so I immediately grabbed this.  I normally don't clean up my polish because I wash a lot of dishes and keep washing my hands and the excess just naturally gets washed off.  This is an oil-based polish. I talked abou...

Every Layer Tells a Story: Layering Clothes Like Layers of Myself

There’s a kind of armor that doesn’t clang, doesn’t make noise, doesn’t ask permission to exist. It drapes over you softly, like a quiet declaration that you belong to yourself. Today, I wore layers—not just fabric over skin, but years of living, healing, reclaiming. There was a time they told me how to look, how to shrink, how to take up less space. They wanted me fragil e , easy to control, a reflection of their own insecurities. But they forgot—queens may bend in the storm, but they do not break. My body isn’t an apology. It’s a testament. My body has weathered storms, carried life, held me upright through every sleepless night. And now, it stands, grounded and unapologetic, wrapped in softness that no one can strip away. The Weight of Their Words I have been underweight my whole single life. I was 98 pounds. I was first degree malnourished. I can't seem to gain weight. I always got comments like, "you're too thin!" Even after giving birth, I was too thin. Some peo...
