What If Life Flirted First?

  What if life flirted first? What if it caught your eye from across the room, smiled without saying a word, and quietly asked, “Would you like to come with me?” I wonder how many beautiful things we’ve ignored because we assumed they were waiting for a different version of us. The happier us. The richer us. The one with more time. The one who finally has everything figured out. So we postpone delight. We walk past the café we’ve always wanted to try. We leave the art supplies unopened because we’re “too busy” or they’re too beautiful to be used.  We save the beautiful notebook for a day important enough to deserve its first page.  But 2 years later, the notebook still remains unopened.  We tell ourselves we’ll travel later, paint later, dance later, wear the red shoes later. As though joy is something that must be earned before it can be experienced. But what if we’ve misunderstood the invitation all along? What if life has been flirting with us this entire time? No...
