5 Luxe Little Things That Boost My Productivity and Keep Me Focused and Fabulous

Work isn’t just about getting things done — it’s about how we feel while we do it. My desk isn’t a battlefield anymore; it’s a soft life command center, where even my to-do list feels a little luxe. (Remember Cam and Hello Kitty?)

✨ From whimsical tools that make me smile to essentials that keep me comfy and focused, here are 5 things that help me stay productive and glowing while I work, and write.

A woman’s workspace is a spell circle. Every object, a talisman. Every touch, a command.

The 5 Productivity Boosters That Make Work Feel Luxe

1️⃣ My Little Pony Gigantic Marker – Whimsy Meets Workflow

  • Because crossing off tasks feels so much better with a chunky, colorful marker that makes my inner child giggle.
  • Why it works: It turns even boring lists into a tiny celebration.

She doesn’t just tick boxes — she blesses timelines.
A purple stroke of ink and the day bends to her will.

I saw this at Miniso on our last trip there and I just couldn't resist!

By the way, this marker is not only cute, it works, too! I use markers instead of a pen to write down thoughts when I'm brainstorming. I just find it faster to write plus my handwriting looks so much better.

I don't use this for my brainstorming sessions. I use this for writing big reminders for myself or for crossing out tasks on my list.

There’s a power in big, dramatic gestures —
even when you're just crossing something out.

2️⃣ Custom Notepads from Stars & Roses

  • Coffee & Scriptures series, my everyday tear-off list pads, notepads, and weekly planners.
  • Why it works: Writing on paper that’s pretty and intentional feels different. Like I’m not just listing chores, I’m mapping out dreams.

Even your to-do lists whisper secrets.
The paper knows who you are becoming.

Crossing off items on a list is a big dopamine hit for my ADHD brain. I love looking at all those lines made by my huge marker every now and then, especially when I'm feeling close to burning out.

Having different kinds of lists and planners also keeps my creativity going. I can customize the  productivity notepads according to my mood that day.

If you're in the Philippines and would like to order some of my productivity notepads, send me a message on our Stars and Roses Facebook page.  I haven't updated the page in a while as I'm focusing on my blog. But, I'll get your message. Or you can always comment on this post.

For international buyers, I ship via DHL. It's fast, it's safe, it's reliable. I don't send via the post office. Your dreams deserve a first-class seat — not just in shipping, but in life.

3️⃣ Simplus Personal Humidifier

  • A soft life essential for my sensitive skin and nose. Keeps the air comfy, my skin hydrated, and distractions (like dry sniffles or itching) away.
  • Why it works: Comfort = focus. No more mini breaks just to escape dry air.

The air bends to her needs.
Moisture, mood, and magic — harmonized.

This is one of the best gadget investments I've ever made. I have a big humidifier, but I love this one because I can take it wherever I go. It's cordless so I can place it anywhere. I just have to remember to charge it after using though! 😁

4️⃣ Cute Stationery Clips

  • The right paper clip keeps my notes pretty, organized, and yummy-smelling! These are scented paper clips that's why I keep them in the original box.
  • Why it works: It’s not just stationery; it’s mood-setting.

I don't drink coffee, but these are too cute to pass up.

One sniff, instant mood lifter

A scent is a memory with wings.
Let your workspace smell like victory.

5️⃣ Hydration Buddy – Evian Mist & Pretty Water Bottle

  • I spritz, I sip, I glow. Staying hydrated keeps my energy steady, and the luxe bottle reminds me that self-care doesn’t stop at skincare.
I love this tumbler so much that I have a backup in my stash. It's easy to clean and is the right size for my daily water needs.

My go-to hydration spray is Evian. My son uses Avene, but he can use both interchangeably.  I react to Avene. I researched about it, and it seems Evian is gentler on sensitive skin.

A quick spritz every now and then keeps my face cool and calm.

She doesn’t wilt under deadlines.
She mists, she resets — and rises.

Glow Girls, productivity isn’t just discipline — it’s vibe-setting. Surround yourself with things that make you smile, breathe easier, and feel put together. Work gets done faster when it feels soft, luxe, and a little magical.

A luxe life isn’t about expensive things.

It’s about choosing beauty — again and again — until your world obeys.

Soul Notes: For Your Journal Tonight

Come sit with me for a while. I have my journal open, and tonight I’ve been thinking about something I suspect I do more often than I realize. I turn healing into another thing I need to accomplish. I want to know when I’ll be over something. When I’ll stop thinking about it. When something that hurt will finally stop hurting. When I’ll feel like myself again. And somewhere along the way, healing quietly becomes another deadline. Another invisible date on a calendar. Another thing I can somehow be late for. But maybe healing doesn’t work particularly well under project management. Maybe there are things I will understand quickly and things I’ll have to revisit again and again. Maybe I’ll feel completely fine one day and unexpectedly tender the next. That doesn’t mean I’ve gone backwards. It means I’m still moving through it. I remember one day, many years ago, when I had fibromyalgia. I lived in constant pain. I just couldn’t get a good day. And then one day, in the office...

Used to the Last Drop: The Ones I’d Already Told You About

There’s something particularly satisfying about finishing a product you’ve already written about. Not testing it. Not forming first impressions. Not wondering whether I’ll still like it three weeks from now. Finished. My Molang Honey sheet masks and this body scrub both made it all the way to the end. (Finally for the Molang sheet masks, right?) I’ve reviewed both before, so I won’t review them all over again here. But perhaps using something until there is nothing left to use is its own kind of review. Beauty products come through my bathroom rather frequently. Some are lovely for a week. Some get pushed to the back of a shelf. Some simply stop working for me. And then there are the ones that quietly disappear because I kept reaching for them. Maybe an empty container is the shortest review of all. I liked it enough to finish it. If you want to read my thought about these products, just type them on my search bar. —- With elegance and quiet fire, Lady E Founder, Glow by Lady E...

The Pleasure of Leaving It Behind

I really liked this dress. Enough that I stood there looking at it for far longer than necessary, having that familiar little debate with myself. It was black. Simple. Very me. I could already imagine how I would wear it. There was only one problem. The fabric was thick. And perhaps in another climate, or another version of my life, that wouldn’t matter very much. But I live in the Philippines. We’re going through El Niño. Heat and I are already not particularly good friends, and my histamine sensitivity has made me even less willing to wear something that might leave me uncomfortable simply because it looks good. Still, I stood there. Because sometimes walking away from something we like is strangely difficult, even when we already know it isn’t right for us. We start negotiating. Maybe I’ll only wear it indoors. Maybe the fabric isn’t that thick. Maybe I’ll regret leaving it behind. Then I realized I was trying awfully hard to convince myself to buy something my body had alrea...
