3 Everyday Glow Must-Haves That Make Ordinary Days Feel Magical

Glow isn’t just something we put on — it’s how we move, sip, sit, spritz, and smile. ✨

Whether I’m writing, running errands, or just recharging at home, these are the 3 little things that help me stay radiant even on regular days. No glam squad required — just softness, intention, and a few everyday luxuries that whisper “you deserve this.”

Here are my top 3 everyday glow essentials:

🌸 1. Hair Drying Towel: Everyday Glow Essential #1

“Where comfort meets cute.”

I've been seeing this item for a long time in different stores. It comes in different colors and different designs. I used to say, "what's the difference between using a regular towel and this one?" I don't wrap my hair in a towel after I shower. I feel like the towel damages my hair, so I kept skipping on this product.

One day, while shopping at Mumuso,  I found this hair drying towel. I've been having trouble getting my hair dry before sleeping. I don't want to use the dryer at night. I want my hair to dry naturally. But it's the rainy season and it's become impossible to air dry it as it's too cold. We also use the aircon a lot and that makes it harder to dry my hair. So, I decided to try this. It's very affordable, so I don't have anything to lose.

On the first night I used this, I was really surprised! I wore it for 15 minutes and my hair was halfway through drying. It wasn't dripping anymore when I removed the wrap.  It felt like someone had turned the humidity dial down just for me — no damp strands clinging to my neck, just lightness, softness, peace.

That night, I slept with dry hair without using the hair dryer.

But you know the best thing that this does to my hair? For some reason, my hair comes out of it untangled. I'm able to brush my hair easily, with no to very little tangles! I don't know how that happens, but it does. Every. Single. Time.

That’s when I knew — this wasn’t just about drying hair. It was about being cared for in the quietest, most gentle way.

Less tangles = less breakage = less hairfall. My hair gets healthier every day with just one simple change in my after-shower routine.

I also don't get chills before bed anymore because my hair dries fully. I'm comfortable and ready for bed.

💧 2. Calendula Soothing Toner: Everyday Glow Essential #2

“My not-so-secret secret to staying fresh and focused.”

I saw these toners at Mumuso and I was screaming in my head. I wanted to try all of them! But a quick chat with my friend and we decided to get the calendula to help soothe the papulopustular rosacea on my face.

It was a very good decision. I tried this right away and didn't get any reactions. I've been using this daily, twice a day and my face feels calm. It gently moisturizers my skin. I use this after shower, once in the morning and again at night.

It’s like pressing reset on my skin and my mood — a cool sigh against the chaos of the day.

The scent is refreshing and subtle. It fades after a while. I'm sensitive to smells but this doesn't trigger me.

It lingers like a whisper of clean air, not perfume — grounding, not distracting. Like a silent kind of pretty.

🪄 3. Vitamin B5 Hand Cream: Everyday Glow Essential #3

“Little luxury, big effect.”

It's not even a luxury at a dollar fifty! At first, I didn't like the scent. I smell the pomegranate then there's a weird middle note. I told my friend that it reminds me of fish sauce! Hahaha! (It's not really that bad.) Not exactly glow girl chic — but the transformation is the plot twist I didn’t see coming.

But since I ran out of The Daily Moment hand cream , I've put this on my desk for daily use, and that middle note doesn't bother me anymore. It fades quickly. And I guess my mistake was I put too much when I first used it.

It took a long time for my skin to absorb the product when I applied too much of it. Now I layer. I apply a small amount, rub it gently on my hands and if that doesn't feel enough, I add a little bit more.

I chose B5 because my hands need a lot of love.

My hands used to look like this. This was taken on June 30. I do a lot of chores daily that's why my hands were that dry.

This is what it looks like today (Aug 4):

And I just applied the Vit B5 hand cream! I still do the same chores daily, but my hands look and feel different!

They don’t just look cared for — they look loved. Like they belong to someone who’s soft, but capable. Tender, but tireless.

This isn't the work of this cream alone though. I've been religiously applying  body lotion so my hands benefit from that, too. However, my hands won't heal this fast or be this healthy-looking if I didn't supplement with hand creams such as this one from Mumuso.

Quick Must-Know for you Glow Ladies about this product:

🌿 Star Ingredient: Vitamin B5 (Panthenol)

💧 Hydration & Healing for Very Dry Skin

Vitamin B5 is a humectant and barrier-repairing vitamin. Here’s what it does for your hands:

🔹 1. Deep Moisture Lock-In

Panthenol draws water into the skin and holds it in—this helps heal cracked skin, soften dry patches, and maintain hydration for longer.

🔹 2. Barrier Repair

If your hands are always dry due to alcohol sprays, chores, or cold weather, B5 helps rebuild your skin’s natural protective shield so moisture doesn’t keep escaping.

🔹 3. Anti-Inflammatory & Soothing

It calms irritation, redness, and flaking—great if your hands get itchy or tight after washing or cleaning.

🔹 4. Skin Texture Renewal

Over time, B5 improves elasticity and smoothness. Your hands look more even, plump, and youthful—hello, hand selfies.

🧴 Other Notables (based on the label):

Contains:

Mineral oil (occlusive to trap in hydration)

Glycerin, Sorbitol (moisture magnets)

Panthenol (Vitamin B5)

But also includes parabens and fragrance—okay for most, but skip if you're very sensitive or allergic.

🌷Because Glow is a Lifestyle

Glow isn’t reserved for special days. It’s in the way we care for ourselves when no one’s watching — the soft rituals, the tiny indulgences, the “just because” spritz or sparkle that makes everything feel a little better. ✨

And if you listen closely, each glow ritual — no matter how small — hums with the kind of energy that turns moments into memories. That’s the real secret. That’s the spell.

Let me know which one made your heart skip — or share your own everyday glow must-have in the comments. The Glow Girls are always taking notes. 💌

Alone Time

My good friend Kitten and I were supposed to go out yesterday but she had some unexpected things come up. I needed to buy some stuff as I am packing for a trip and so I went alone. I actually enjoy going out alone as much as going out with girlfriends or MB. It gives me a chance to eat whatever I like to eat and explore new restos. It’s also nice to take my time when shopping. After paying my bills, I had a late lunch at Toast Box: I love Hainanese Chicken. I sometimes cook this dish but it’s too tedious so I settle for eating out. I’m so happy that there are now restaurants that serve proper Hainanese Chicken. Well, except that one above was sooooo bloody. It was swimming in blood when I pulled the meat apart so I had it changed. You know what Gordon Ramsay says, bloody chicken is poisonous. This is the second time I ate at Toast Box and in both times, the chicken was so bloody. After lunch, I started shopping. First stop was Beabi where I bought these: The Sakura thermos on...

Soft Luxe Travels: Day 1 - The Journey to Vigan Part 1

In this post, we will start our journey to Vigan! The Night Before After packing our things, I did a few things for myself to help me relax and decompress so that I can sleep. I'm a night owl and not used to waking up early nor sleeping early, so I have to be strategic.  I painted my nails that night after all my chores, so that the nail polish wouldn't chip.  However, I forgot that I needed to make pressed sandwiches for our breakfast the following day!  Because really, what’s a road trip mom without freshly painted nails and a last-minute kitchen hustle? 😂 So, I had to do a lot of washing and hoped for the best that my nail polish will not chip! Luncheon meat, eggs, Kewpie Trust me, it tastes better than it sounds at 11 PM while trying not to chip your polish. That night, we also tried the Ube Halaya from Amira's. This was from our trip to Tagaytay . I'll try to make a review of this on my food blog . With everything prepped, I finally let myself drift off—half excit...

Holiday State of Mind

Sometimes, a quick escape is all it takes to reset the spirit. Tagaytay always gives me that holiday state of mind… Even a short drive can feel like a retreat when your heart is ready to embrace rest. My son successfully finished his recital last Sunday and as a reward, my sister treated us to Tagaytay yesterday.  Getting Ready for the Trip I decided to use my BYS Golden Hour Palette for today's look. Makeup, for me, is part of the ritual—it sets the tone that today is special. Here are the swatches: From top to bottom: Polaroid, Candid, Aperture, In Focus, Portrait, Panoramic In Focus is slightly wet, like something between a liquid and cream eyeshadow. The color is gorgeous! I love Panoramic, too! Polaroid is a bit chalky and not as pigmented as the shadows in the Queen Bee Palette.  Here are the face shades: Highlighter: Illumination Contour: Ambiance I haven't tried Illumination yet, only Ambiance. I used it on top of my BYS Bronzer. It's a buildable powder, a littl...
