Soft Finds at the Japanese Stationery Fair ✿

Something about Japanese stationery always pulls me in quietly.

Rows of Sarasa pens in the softest colors, limited edition sets with the cutest details, and notebooks that make you want to start fresh just by looking at them. There’s something so intentional about everything—clean, simple, but never boring.

I found myself drawn to the little things… the way the pens glide, the gentle color palettes, the layouts that make writing feel lighter, almost calming. It’s not loud or overwhelming—it’s the kind of beauty you notice slowly.

Fruit anything always captures my eye

And, of course, Sanrio.

This screams school-ready to me… in a soft-luxe way, that is. ☺️

I have been debating with my friend over these Campus notebooks. I still have a lot of notebooks that I need to use, but these artist collabs were really calling to me.

I always ask my friends to be my sounding board when I shop to avoid impulse buys.

I got a few. I posted about them on my Facebook (link below). (Also, if I’m not here, please check my food blog, FB, or Insta. You might catch me in one of those places. All the links below)

Maruman paper is really one of the best out there, but it’s just not my aesthetic.

I was trying to take a closer look at these Vintage Market pens, but the sales attendant wouldn’t move even though she already saw that I was taking photos.

I wasn’t very happy with my Pilot Juice pens, so I skipped these.

And then, on the other side, I spotted something unexpected—old school cameras. The kind that make you pause. I showed them to my son and for a moment it felt like stepping into a different time… slower, more thoughtful, where every shot actually means something.

I picked up the green one and showed my son how to use it.

I love spaces like this. A mix of function and feeling. Things you don’t just use… but enjoy using.

And tucked in a quiet corner is this small ice cream cafe.

We just had lunch and I was still full, but it holds the promise of next time…
