It was a holiday last Friday. I was supposed to stay home and do some work. My husband also had to have the car fixed. But when I woke up, he said it was already fixed as he left early.
So, I changed my plans and asked him to go out.
At first I only wanted to go to Power Plant.
On the way there, we passed by The Oakwood.
The birdcages near the infinity pool were very popular back then when the hotel first opened. I believe you can sit inside while you lounge by the pool.
They’re beautiful. But from my view:
Metro Manila cable spaghetti! 🤣
We also passed by my old school, Ateneo.
I took photos of the escalator from parking.
I showed the beautiful mood lighting to my friend.
Of course Power Plant thought of making your experience a pleasant one the moment you enter.
I looked up and click!
Our first stop was NBS. I saw this copy of The Art of War and thought how pretty the cover was. There are other classic titles in the same pretty cover theme.
We went there because I was looking for some books I saw about a month ago. They were no longer available. 😔
Our next stop was Healthy Options because maple syrup has been absent from the groceries we frequent for months and I was craving pancakes.
Field Day Organic Grade A Maple Syrup
Next was my favorite: Fully Booked x Kinokuniya!
I saw this big display of Lord of the Rings books. We have that camel boxed set on the bottom left corner. I haven’t even touched it yet!
The Art of The Lord of the Rings looks interesting though.
I spend most of my time at the Japanese Stationery part of the store.
Saw this Hello Kitty pouch that I thought of buying.
My friend said to get this Cinnamoroll one. It’s bigger and can stand on its own. But, I felt like they were too juvenile for me. I mean the design and colors. The Cinnamoroll one is quite functional. I really liked it though. Maybe if I find a use for it. And if it’s still there when I come back, that is.
Some of you know that I’ve been obsessing about the MATTEHOP pens for some time now.
I asked my husband which one to get and he said, definitely the complete set. There was only one left. It has all the sweet colors that I like and more. Plus it already comes in a case.
I wanted to buy some stickers, too..
But a lady was buying a lot of stickers and stationery. She was also studying each set carefully before buying.
We were in a hurry, so I decided to skip it for another day.
But look how much she has in her hand already! My kinda gal!
I also saw this gigantic Ukanmuri and told my friend. He said to get it! I told him that was the plan.
They also had some new Ukanmuri colors. I got another one.
I can never have enough of these clips. I use them daily for all sorts of things.
That’s it for my Kino tour. Stay tuned for Power Plant Part 2!
