Sorry, I’m Very Busy!

Sorry, if you’ve missed me in the last coupla days. I’m very busy with our DLSUnite Bazaar at the Yuchengco Hall in DLSU Taft. It will go on until Friday, Feb 18 when DLSU will be open to the public. Hyphen and The Emporium are there. If you fancy something at Hyphen, you might want to visit us there.  But you might want to hurry as the LaSallians have their eyes already set on some of the items. The others are on reserve already. In the meantime, please amuse yourselves with this giveaway: L’eau Par Kenzo for Men Be Givenchy For Women 1. Same rules as the last giveaway 2. Blog about this giveaway and answer this question in your blog: What perfume are you planning to buy for you (and/or your man) this summer and why? Sorry for this very hurried post. I’m quite exhausted from today’s events. * Thank you MB for sponsoring this giveaway!

I’m Feeling Blue

Not sad, just the color: It’s very rare that I match my toes and fingers but this time I kinda did: Do you match your mani-ped? I don’t. Like right now I’m wearing pink on my toes and my mermaid nails on my fingers.

3-Step EOTD

Looking pretty shouldn’t be complicated that’s why I came up with an EOTD using these: The eye shadow sticks are from Avon and the single e/s is TFS. Here’s a closer look at the purple Avon stick: It’s an eyeshadow/liner duo. Here are swatches of all the products that we will use: For the 3-Step Day Look, we will only use the gold Avon stick and the duo. 1. Apply the pink shadow (duo) all over your lid. 2. Apply the gold e/s as a highlight under your brow bone. 3. Line your eyes with the purple liner. You’re done! The only thing I don’t like about this liner is it takes a long time to dry and it smears. Just look at that photo. For a 4-Step Night Look, just pat the TFS eye shadow all over the pink e/s. Fix your liner and maybe do a cat eye. I skipped the cat eye here. So, what do you think of this simple look?

Sakura Bella

I finally finished my Dove Pomegranate Body Wash. I still have one more bottle but I decided to try Sakura Bella first so that I have back up in case I’m allergic to Sakura Bella. The flyer says that Sakuras contain phenolics which are powerful anti-oxidants responsible for maintaining skin's youthful glow. The product promises to aid in combating the signs of aging (fine lines, dullness). The lotion contains Vitamin E and olive oil. The body scrub has finely ground walnut shells.I hope it's not too harsh. First of all, the smell is absolutely wonderful. I keep sniffing whenever I lather this on. It’s not too strong but it’s not too faint either. It’s just right. Grape Bella is thicker in consistency that’s why I need 5 pumps to get a good lather using my bath lily so now I’ve already used up a lot and the week’s not yet over. The scent stays on after I take a bath but disappears after a couple of hours. Also, you have to really smell your skin up close in order to get ...

Book Update: Belle de Jour

If you think that I’m neglecting my books, well I’m not. I was able to finish the last of my magazines, which is Elle, yesterday and now I’m starting with a new one. Upon searching my archives, I’ve discovered that I haven’t made a post about this last book that I finished. The beginning of this book was quite boring. What made me continue was the witty remarks made by Belle. There are a lot of witty, crazy and smart quotes but one of my favorites is, “Boys, we don’t dress up for you. We dress up for ourselves or to impress other women. But we don’t dress up for you.” Now how true is that??? I love it! What are you reading nowadays?

Inspiration

I found this in one of my magazines. I think the makeup used was Shu Uemura. I don’t have any Shu palettes that’s why I used my Fashion 21 palette. The colors don’t exactly match the original but this will suffice. It’s always fun to do my eyes whenever I’m sick. = ) I already tried 3 purple shades but I still can’t match the original. Oh, well. At least I had fun! By the way, did you notice that the lines on my eyes have diminished? That's because of my Clinique All About Eyes Rich Cream  which is also included in my giveaway. Don't forget to join!

Are You A Shoeaholic?

I’m no Imelda but my shoe addiction, I got from my grandma and her sisters. Back in the day, my grandma and her sisters were the total fashionistas in their town. Whenever there was a town party, people would anticipate the arrival of the sisters. They dressed to the nines all the time, every time. My love for fashion is definitely from them. Whenever she cleans out her “aparador” I would see the beautiful embroidered ternos and jewelry and whatnots of that time. I remember when I was younger, she said that I definitely inherited their penchant for shoes. Whenever we would go shoe shopping, I knew exactly what I wanted and what goes with what dress. Most of you know that I have size 5 feet that are pretty hard to find shoes for. There is only one boutique that carries perfect shoes for my weird feet and that’s Chesca. Surprisingly I found flat shoes from Penshoppe last December that fit me: They’re very pretty but they kill my feet every time I wear them. Seriously, I have to cove...

Working Gal Face

I think a lot of girls are faced with the everyday dilemma of what to wear and what makeup to apply. My cousin, R, is no exception so I dragged her to the Clinique Makeover Workshop. First, Baby taught her the basics of skin problems and skin care. Then, she proceeded to test the Clinique 3-Step System on the back of R’s hand. R is type 3, by the way. They also did a skin tape test: This was before the 3-Step System was applied See all those dead skin cells? See how clear that tape is after? This shows you effective the 3-Step System is. By the way, Clinique did not give me free 3-Step System products. I bought them myself and I can attest to how effective they are. Read about my review here . Then Baby prepped R’s face. Gotta remove all those EDSA pollution The 3-Step system was applied then makeup. She also taught R how to apply foundation properly. Finished product: What’s a Clinique event without a fun, Asian signature pose? Pang FB Profile pic! ...
