🌷 Hope Has Come: A Devotional I Wrote for Tweens
There’s a different kind of glow that comes from writing something with love — not for profit, not for clicks, but because you know someone out there is quietly praying for a tool like this.
This is one of those stories.
A few weeks ago, during a bazaar my family and I joined, a Sunday School teacher walked over to my table. She asked if I had any Bible-based materials for kids. I handed her a copy of Bible Fun for Kids, and when she started flipping through the pages, her whole face lit up.
“Finally,” she said, “something different. Something new.”
She was so excited to bring fresh ideas to her class — activities that weren’t recycled, that didn’t feel like the same lesson every week.
And that’s when it hit me:
If teachers of young kids are having a hard time finding engaging materials, what about the ones teaching tweens — those in-between years where kids are not quite little, but not yet teens?

✨ 12 Sundays of Faith: Hope Has Come was born.
This tween devotional is simple, meaningful, and easy to use. It’s designed not just for Sunday School teachers but for homeschooling moms like me who want to bring faith into our children’s weekly rhythm — without burnout.
Here’s what’s inside:
A 12-week devotional journey, ideal for Advent season or anytime during the year.
A short, child-friendly Bible story retelling each week.
Reflection prompts that speak to what tweens are really going through.
Prayer-writing and journaling space.
An activity page (draw, create, explore!) and sticker time.
Optional add-ons for longer classes — like a memory verse game or promise chain.
No prep needed — open to page one and go!
It’s more than a book. It’s a lesson plan. It’s a quiet guide. It’s a gentle hand for tired teachers and moms who just want to help the next generation fall in love with Jesus.

🕊 Why I Wrote It
I was a Sunday School teacher assistant for several years before the pandemic.
My son has been in Sunday School since he was 2 years old, and I’ve observed many teaching styles over the years.
One thing that stood out to me:
By the time kids enter the tweens class, the lessons start to thin out.
Most of the time, the teacher just told a story and asked a few questions. That was it.
But our tweens deserve more.
They’re growing. They’re thinking deeply. They’re questioning the world, and themselves.
That’s why 12 Sundays of Faith isn’t just another devotional.
It invites tweens to reflect, express, and explore. It asks critical thinking questions, not just comprehension ones. It gives them space to write, draw, and pray — to connect with God in ways that make sense for who they’re becoming.
I wrote this as a homeschooling mom, Sunday School helper, and woman of faith.
I know what it’s like to juggle everything and still want to give your child something sacred.
I know what it’s like to feel like you’re not doing enough, not teaching enough, not being enough.
So I made something that would take the pressure off — and bring the glow back in.
But don't get me wrong. 12 Sundays of Faith isn't just for Sunday School teachers. It's also for homeschooling moms and any mom or dad who wants to incorporate faith lessons in their daily lives.
