PJ Pretty: Why I Still Wear Cute Sleepwear Even When I’m Tired

I don't have a solo photo of the pj's because I didn't think I'd blog about it but when I wore it and snapped the photo below and sent it to a friend, I was inspired to write a post about it.

You’d think that at the end of a long day, when I’m exhausted, sore, and just ready to crawl into bed, the last thing I’d care about is what I wear to sleep.

But this pair? These burgundy M&S pajama pants, scattered with stars, moons, and tiny bursts of sparkle? They matter.

I chose this print because it's festive, perfect for the season, but not too Christmassy that I can't wear it the rest of the year.

They remind me that I’m worth the effort—even in the quietest hours.

Not for anyone else.

For me.

There’s something powerful about choosing softness, beauty, and comfort on purpose—especially when my body is aching and I’ve got nothing left to give. It’s not vanity. It’s self-honor. It’s body positivity. And sometimes, it’s the only moment in the day when I feel put together.

Cute, comfortable sleepwear makes me feel held, like I’m wrapping myself in love.

It’s a tiny ritual of care. A whispered "you still deserve to feel beautiful even in sleep."

Even if no one sees me but my reflection in the mirror.

Even if I’m too tired to brush my hair.

Even if the only person who’ll notice is me.

Or maybe not just me. Maybe my son sees it too—that Mom still shows up for herself. Even in the smallest ways. And that's what I want him to learn. I want him to give importance to himself. I want him to show up for him. When his world starts to get busy and the world demands a lot from him, at the end of the day, I want him to choose himself, even with the little things... especially with the little things.

I know my body feels it—the choice to treat her with gentleness, even when she's heavy with exhaustion.

And maybe my dreams feel a little lighter, because I chose softness over survival mode.

So yes, I still wear cute sleepwear even when I’m tired.

Because I’m not dressing for the world.

I’m dressing for the woman I’m becoming. The one who chooses beauty—even in the dark.

Soft Luxe Staycations: Binondo Series - The Great Buddha, Curated Purchases from Eng Bee Tin, and Last Thoughts About Ramada

After buying a lot of stuff on the first floor, we headed upstairs to eat a light lunch. Mom was getting hungry. My son and I just ate, but we said that we will accompany her and will just order something light.

All About Eyes

Lately I’m finding myself obsessed with skin care products, prevention in particular. I'm not getting younger and nobody likes lines and wrinkles, right? I should have done this in my early twenties but those were hard times and we didn’t have enough to support our daily lives, let alone vanity splurges. So now, I’m on hyper mode. I did not place any expectations on this product. I’ve had it with products claiming they can do this and that. I just tried the product thinking that if it works then great, if not then I’ll just find a new one. I wasn’t expecting a dramatic change but 2 weeks into using this product, I noticed that my under eye area has become lighter. The lines are also not as deep as they were before I used this product. I stopped using the Garnier eye products because I’m allergic to them so that means I’m not using any whitening products for that area. I am truly impressed with this product. I didn’t take a before and after photo as I wasn’t expecting this at ...

When You Need a Tiny Reset (Glow Cards Are Here)

The shade is actually a dusty mauve or muted orchid. It looks blue on the image, but it's not blue.  There are days when I don’t need a full day off — I just need a moment. A tiny reset. A quiet pause in the swirl of noise. That’s how Glow Cards were born.
