Weekday Whimsy Diaries: A Photo Tour of the City of Manila and Shopping at Eng Bee Tin Part 1

Hi, everyone! I wasn't able to blog yesterday because we had back to back to back full days! I'm very exhausted (until now). We spent the long weekend at Red Planet Hotel and then went to Tagaytay on Saturday for lunch. We were supposed to go to Tarlac, but my sister had lots of things to finish so we opted for Tagaytay instead. Anyway, I will tell you more about that in a separate post. I have so much backlog posts to write! Here's one of them.

Let's start with our adventure in the city of Manila last week. And as usual, I took photos of important landmarks and buildings in the city.

But first, today's look breakdown:

Eyes - NARS Primer, Mac Mineralize and Club, BYS Blue Moon palette,  BYS liquid liner

Lips - Miniso The Ballerina Soft Velvet Lip Stain in 02, Anastasia Tan Rose Gloss

Let's start our tour:

This is the central bank.

This is Dr. Jose Rizal's monument at Rizal Park aka Luneta

This is the National Museum. There are actually three buildings - one for fine art, one for natural history, and one for anthropology. My son and I visited all of them in a single day!

If you're ever in the Philippines (or for those in the Philippines, but from the provinces), try to visit this museum. I highly recommend the National Museum for Fine Art where you'll be able to see Juan Luna's Spoliarium in all its glory. Then the Natural History. Lots of interesting things there, including the skeleton and taxidermied skin of Lolong, the world's largest captive crocodile. It's a great place to visit if you have kids. If you're a couple, the Fine Arts museum is the perfect date place.

My sister and I had some errands in the city. After those, I asked if we could go to Eng Bee Tin in Chinatown. I already featured the store here

I took some photos outside because I was giving my godson in the province a photo tour of Manila.

As usual, I got a ton of stuff! I love shopping for food for family and friends.

I found these Chinese Ceremonial Dragon Candles:
