Another Amazing TFS Brush!

I used to believe that only the expensive, branded brushes are good. I was surely proven wrong with the TFS Circle Brush and this angled brush from The Face Shop. This costs only 315 pesos, if I’m not mistaken. I can’t believe I’ve been ignoring this brush. This works so well with my gel liners, both Maybelline and Bobbi Brown. The hairs are soft but they’re arranged in such a way that they are stiff and strong so they draw a nice line. This is also great when making cat eyes. I also love that the bristles are short unlike my Bobbi Brown angled brush. It’s also very easy to clean with the Ellana Brush Cleaner and very easy to rinse out with Sunsilk green. I used this brush for my wedding gig and I’m satisfied with the results. I will probably buy a backup when I get another makeup gig. If you need a cheat brush for cat eyes, I recommend this brush.

Wedding Gig

I received a comment a while back asking me to post photos of my wedding gig. I won’t post all of them because I forgot to ask permission (ooops!) so I will just post photos of the bride and groom and the bride’s sister as I know them well and they can’t do anything about me posting their photos here. LOLZ. This is J. She’s the bride’s sister. She had the best transformation among the 10 people I worked on. I couldn’t stop looking at her and telling her how beautiful she was after. These girls don’t use makeup. A simple powder, lipstick and eyeliner is their daily routine so I was surprised myself to see how they looked in full makeup. I used my Stila smokey eye palette for the bridesmaids. The lipstick is Estee Lauder Berry Pink from the Pure Color line. This shade looked lovely on the sisters. This is the bride. As she’s also not used to so much makeup, she asked me to apply just a little bit. She was the one who picked the eye looks for herself and her bridesmaids. Eve...

Circle Face Brush

I’ve been looking for the perfect circle brush for my foundation application forever! The search has finally ended with The Face Shop’s Face It Circle Face Brush. I love, love this brush! I don’t have anything negative to say about it. I’ve used it to apply liquid foundation, BB cream and cream foundation. I also used it to apply powder blush and cheek stains and I’ve had no problems with it. Although, I have to say that this is best used for liquid foundation application. I reach out for this brush when I use my Revlon PhotoReady Foundation. I have yet to use this for contouring and highlighter application. The brush is so soft. It costs around Php575. MB got this for me. I returned to TFS to buy another one for my makeup gig but they sold out! The box comes with a guide that teaches you different techniques on applying different products. I apply foundation using a circular motion and buff it out. The guide says that this brush has fine hairs to fill in pores and cre...

Angelika

NARS The Multiple. What can I say about this product except it’s ingenious. You can use it on your cheeks or lips or as a highlighter. One tube is enough to last you for many months. This is Angelika. That’s not even everything. There’s more inside the tube. I got this as part of a set sometime last year, I think. It’s a lovely pink shade that gives your cheeks some life. It has a bit of shimmer but I think that gives it the extra oomph.  It lasts almost the whole day. I use this whenever I feel lazy or when I know that I won’t have time to retouch my makeup. I have no idea how much a tube costs and I don’t know if it is still available. If you are a fan of blushes and lip and cheek tints, try NARS Angelika.

Nude

I got this during my Etude House haul a few weeks ago. I super, super love it and I’ve been sporting it ever since I got it. I actually couldn’t wait to try this nail polish so I applied it while waiting at the car service. I also applied the top coat and quick dry drops included in the haul. I will post a review of them soon. This is SBE101. I’m not sure if that’s the shade or if it’s just a code. It costs either 98 or 198 pesos. Sorry, I couldn’t find the receipt. It lasts a fairly long time so the price is just right.

Pan!

I have a ton of products that I want to finish and in the past two weeks, I managed to finish the ones in the photo above. I already mentioned in a previous post that I like the Belo lotion. I use it not for its whitening properties (which, by the way, I’m not sure is effective because I don’t really care) but because it’s non-greasy and it gets absorbed by my skin fast. I think I use up a big bottle in 2-3 weeks. The next bottle is the old Ellana brush cleaner. This is bigger than the new version. This is my favorite brush cleaner as it is very effective and it smells nice. It’s also very expensive in my opinion. The next bottle is the Watsons Lavender Foot Scrub. I don’t want to spend a lot on foot products but I still want to take care of my dry feet so I use this. This is a great product. It’s affordable and effective. I think it took 2-3 months for me to finish this bottle. Lastly, the Watsons Sakura Bella Body Scrub. Yes, I’m a huge fan of Watsons brand product...

Weekend Hauls

I’ve been in so much stress for the past month and a half and I promised myself that I would go retail therapy last weekend. So I did. Saizen and Etude House hauls I got a few things from Saizen, Etude House and Watsons. From Saizen, I got the organizers which I will use for my wedding gig this coming weekend. I will also use the coral mat to line the table to prevent my things – brushes, lipsticks, etc. from slipping/rolling. I also got new food bowls for my cats which are not pictured here. I was originally planning to buy the Gommage scrub from Etude House but got carried away when I saw their new nail products. Good thing I was able to go back only to find out that the Gommage scrub has been out of stock for quite some time now. Anyway, I got an eyeshadow brush, also for the wedding gig, a nude nail polish which is really pretty, a cuticle treatment cream, a nail polish remover (the one in the tube), a top coat and a quick dry serum. I was intrigued with the nail po...
