My Favorite Clinique Products

I have a ton of Clinique products, mostly skin care. I have to admit that I have not yet tried all of them but among the few that I have, these are my favorites. I may have changed my facial wash but my toner and moisturizer remain the same. I super love this combination and I doubt that I will be changing them any time soon. Next is the eye cream. This is different from the one I used before but it’s still great. I would like to try Benefit’s eye cream though just to compare them. Finally, this lipstick in RSVPink. I have different makeup from Clinique but I’m not impressed with the others. As you can see, I’m almost done with this tube. Here’s a swatch: It’s a perfect everyday shade and I used this before when I was still on the road every single day. I won’t be repurchasing this shade as I still have a ton of lipsticks that need to be used up.

Body Treats Perfumed Moisturizing Hand Cream

I got this waaay back when I was still healthy. Well, healthier and mobile. Got this at Watsons and if I’m not mistaken, it was on BOGO. The first time I used this, I wasn’t a big fan of the scent. After a few minutes, I truly appreciated it. It smells nice on my skin. It smells differently in the bottle so you might want to try it out on your skin first. This has a nice moisturizing effect that lasts for a couple of hours. It has vitamin E and white tea. I think that’s the prominent ingredient that makes it smell nice. What I don’t like about this though is the packaging. Obviously, the manufacturers did not test this out. I had a very hard time getting the product out of the bottle. I unscrewed the cap hoping that it would be easier but no. I kept shaking and tapping the bottle against my palm and I only ended up with this amount on my palm. My hand was already hurting that’s why I stopped. It’s a bit better now but it’s still a pain to get the cream out. It’s too thick f...

My Makeup Tips for the Lazy Girl Part 2

Next up, BB Creams If you want to skip the foundation and the concealer, invest in a really good BB or CC cream that will help cover all your imperfections and leave you with a flawless finish. Opt for Pencils and Creams If you can’t be bothered with shading and contouring and mixing and matching eyeshadows, your solution is a pencil shadow or long-lasting creams: You can just apply one color and you will look all made up. You also don’t have to contend with fall-outs. You can instantly get a smokey eye with these pencils. Use a cure-all moisturizer at night I suggest beauty oils that you can use for your hair, face and body such as: This keeps your skin hydrated and helps with the repair process that goes on at night. Cleansing wipes Finally, at the end of the day, don’t forget to remove your makeup. You will end up with a lot of skin problems if you leave it on. Buy cleansing wipes. I don’t personally use cleansing wipes because I am OC with my routine but I sug...

My Makeup Tips for the Lazy Girl

Admit it. There are some days when we’re just too lazy to apply makeup and get all dolled up. Some girls are high maintenance, some are low maintenance, some struggle to find the balance between the two and some are just, well, plain lazy. If you fall in the last category, don’t fret. You can still look and feel like a million bucks without spending so much time in front of the mirror. Here are my tips. Invest in a good skin care routine I use Clinique but you can use whatever works for you. You want to look radiant right? The best way to achieve this is by having a good base i.e. your face. You need to take care of your skin. Get rid of all that deep-seated dirt and zap those zits. Get rid of the oilies too. If you have a good canvass, you only need a minimal amount of makeup and that is good news for a lazy girl, right? Get good primers I know this is just an extra step but believe me, you need this. A good primer will help your makeup last longer so you don’t have to keep tou...

This week I’m obsessed with…

Guerlain Meteorites, Etude House Miss Tangerine and Estee Lauder Electric Coral I keep forgetting to use my Miss Tangerine lippy probably because it’s grouped together with my lip glosses. I finally remembered and put it in my makeup kit. I thought I’m nearing “pan” on this one but I twisted out the product and there is still a ton left! So I guess this will be my official lippy until the end of May. Next is my Guerlain Meteorites which I have no idea why I buried in my train case for so long! My husband and I are re-doing our rooms (plural because he made an extension) and because of that, I was forced to check out my makeup collection. I’m totally obsessed with this and it will probably be my favorite highlighter until the year ends. Well, maybe. Lastly, the Estee Lauder Electric Coral lip gloss. I super love this gloss. It smells great and it’s the perfect topper to my Miss Tangerine lipstick. It mutes down the shocking orange shade of the lipstick.

Perfect Combination

I like wearing orange during summer whether it be makeup or clothes. Yesterday, I went to the doctor and decided to wear bright cheerful colors instead of the usual browns and pinks. I opted to wear Cha Cha Tint for my cheeks. But, I have a problem with Cha Cha Tint as it looks too orange on my cheeks. So I decided on this combination: Georgia is too light on my cheeks while Cha Cha Tint is too dark so this really was a perfect combination for my skin tone. Georgia really muted down the “harshness” of Cha Cha on my cheeks. It was truly a wise choice and I will be wearing this combination all throughout summer.

Have a Summer-Ready Body the Easy Way

Hello ladies! I went to the doctor today that’s why this post is late. I’m thankful to the Lord that my health is getting better and better. Soon I’ll be able to get out of the house and walk around. Anyway, let’s talk about getting a beach-ready body for the summer. Your number one weapon for busting fat is your metabolism. I’ve never had a problem with weight gain. The heaviest that I’ve been was 98 pounds and that was when I was on steroids. I slowly lost the weight over a period of a year or two. Note the keyword here is “slowly”. I don’t believe in crash diets and losing a significant amount of weight in just a short time. Your body did not get fat instantly. It was a process. So is losing weight. I’m thankful that I have a fast metabolism plus the fact that I was an athlete back in the day. I could dine at all-you-can-eat buffets every single day and burn them all when I’m on the ice or when I’m doing martial arts. Now that I’m older, I need to at least not let my metabo...
