Take the Day Off

This is my first cleansing oil and I can say that I’m fairly satisfied with it. Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Oil I really can’t compare this to the Shu Uemura cleansing oils as I haven’t tried them yet. I’m not even sure if I’m going to try them as they are very expensive. This, however, is more affordable at only Php1,200-1500 per 200 ml bottle. I said that I’m fairly satisfied with this product because it’s great for removing face and eye makeup but not waterproof mascara. It will probably remove regular mascara without a problem but I don’t use them. I always use waterproof mascara. I bought this in spite of having several makeup removers (please refer to previous posts) for days when I’m not feeling well (suddenly have an attack) or when I’m too tired to remove my makeup and just want to take a bath straight when I get home then go to bed. I pump about 3x worth of product on my palm and apply as I would a facial wash. I make sure to gently but thoroughly rub the parts ...

I Want it Pink!

So while we’re in the subject of makeup removal, let me share another one of my Etude House finds: I already have the Eye and Lip makeup remover (the blue one) but I find that it’s not effective in removing mascara. So I trooped to EH SM Makati and bought this Mascara Remover for Php198. I like the oil/solution combo. It makes the overall look very pretty. Very princessy indeed. The smell is much like the blue one. Effectiveness is very good. I just dab a cotton pad on my eyelashes then I’m left with clean lashes and lids. Yes, it also removes eye makeup! Don’t forget to shake the product first before applying! The only thing I don’t like about this is it stings my eye like crazy whenever I accidentally put some in. It hurts so bad that one day I swore never to buy this again. But honestly, it’s more economical to buy this than the Eye and Lip makeup remover unless of course, you use lipstick that’s hard to remove. I think I will buy this again and just be careful every time I r...

Fruity Makeup Remover

I have been using this makeup remover for months now and I love it! It’s as simple as that. I’ve been using the Etude House Makeup Remover before I discovered this. At first I thought there wasn’t any difference but last night definitely made this TFS makeup remover a winner: So what’s that thing that I’m talking about? It doesn’t make my face oily. You know that effect after you wipe off your makeup with a makeup remover (Pond’s, Etude House)? Your skin feels somewhat oily/greasy. I have that same effect with Etude House. I wipe my face with a wet tissue afterwards to get rid of the oil but after a few minutes, I’m stuck with an oily face again. On the other hand, The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Cream had none of that. Sure, my face feels a bit oily after wiping the product off but once I wipe my face with a wet tissue then that’s it. I am left with soft, smooth skin. Want more proof? I had an attack last night and took a nap for about an hour or two. When I woke up, I immediatel...

My HG Lip Balm

I am a lip balm addict and that simply means that I’ve tried dozens and dozens of brands/kinds since I was introduced to my first lip balm. So, I am pretty sure that I found the one: The Maybelline Lip Smooth (Cool Mint) may not work for some but it works wonders for me. I thought that this was great until after a few weeks of using it, my lips dried up. I have no idea why it suddenly stopped working. This, however, has not failed me and I hope that it will not in the long run.  This keeps my lips moisturized and hydrated for the whole day. Of course, I keep reapplying whenever my lipstick fades but there are times when my lips are still soft even without the lipstick and this balm. The best part is it comes in mint (my favorite lip balm flavor), is not sickeningly sweet and is very affordable at Php89! I am loving this so much that’s why I’m including it in my birthday giveaway. Click here to join. Here’s a shot of the product to leave you with: Do you have an HG lip bal...

I’m Back With More Giveaways!

So, the bazaar was a success! A lot of students/faculty/outsiders welcomed Hyphen with open arms. Thank you DLSU Taft for clients and friends made during our 5-day stay there! Did you think that the giveaways are over? Not yet, of course! Here’s more! Prize 1: Mini Size U is not my favorite. I haven’t even tried it yet but I’ve read good reviews about it. So why didn’t I use this? It’s for oily skinned ladies. My skin is uber dry. So, I am giving this away to one lucky girl! Green is my favorite color. Here are a few green things that I really love: Prize 2 Green Sunsilk is my favorite makeup brush cleaner, Maybelline Extra Care in mint is my HG Lip Balm, the ELF powder brush is a nifty find at Sol’s booth in the last Super Sale Bazaar. I have one and it feels so good on my face! So soft! Lastly, the wedge sponges are Victoria Vogue. This is the only brand of sponges that I buy. They are quality, affordable sponges. Love them. I think most of you already know the rules but...
