White Now?

I bought this Close Up White Now toothpaste in October. I didn’t have high expectations as it only costs Php60. But I was intrigued with the instant whitening effect and so I bought it. The gel looks like this: Clear gel outside, blue gel with specks inside In fairness, for something so affordable, it did deliver on its promise. It did give me a temporary whitening effect but only a little. Of course it doesn’t last. I used up the whole tube and didn’t get even the tiniest bit of whitening afterwards. I bought another toothpaste that looks promising. Will do a review soon. Kitten also made a review about this if you’re interested.

Vacation Day 3– Impulse Purchases

Finally! This will be quick as on day 3, we went home, dumped our stuff in the room then went out again to do the groceries. But before leaving, MB and I checked our BPI CC’s. We had a great surprise as we had a special installment line again. We didn’t think about it that much but en route to the grocery, we found and bought these: It was an impulse purchase. We weren’t planning on buying new phones but thanks to BPI, we got these on a 0% installment plan. MB looked like a kid on Christmas morning. If you’ve been on my Facebook, you’d know how much he was obsessed with his new toy. Boys will be boys. I also bought this: which I will review soon. It was a great 3-day vacation and we got all the rest and relaxation we needed. Although it was still in the city, we felt rejuvenated and ready to face the new week.  If you’re toxic, I really recommend you  go on a quick getaway. It helps the body, the mind and the soul.

Getting Addicted

It seems like all I do lately is apologize for being away from the blogging world. Well, I’ve been ill. I’m now having more bad days than good days. So what do I do to cheer up? Go shopping, of course! It’s so nice to have an Avon Lady for a friend: Avon trinkets I love Avon jewelry because they don’t tarnish, don’t fade and don’t turn dark like My Forever 21 necklace. I sooo love this retro bag as it fits all my weekend essentials plus the colors are so cheery and bright! It always perks me up whenever I’m not feeling well. I am, and forever will be, obsessed with wallets. I gave away all my wallet stash. Yes, you’ve read that right. I keep at least 5 wallets in my closet every 6 months or so. I gave them all away so now I’m building my collection again. Here’s how it looks inside: I really don’t care much for the print but I really like the compartments: What do you do to detox, de-stress and cheer yourself up?

Bubble Nets

Bubble nets are used by the Japanese for facial cleansing. No, they don’t scrub their faces with the net but they use it to create a good lather. They only use the bubbles to wash their faces. They believe that your hand should not touch the skin on your face as it creates lines and sagging. I bought this bubble net at Saizen, one pair for Php85. This is a part of my Saizen post a few months back. It looks like this: I made a video to demonstrate how to use it. It’s easier to see than to read. How To Use a Bubble Net, by bits + treats (Yeah, I was a little bit gigil with the net. haha!) I used Celeteque here. I wouldn’t recommend Celeteque if you want a good lather. The facial wash from Etude House and other thick facial foams create a very nice lather. I only had Celeteque when I made the video. Hold the bubble net with your pointing and middle fingers. Start with a wet bubble net then apply your favorite facial wash. Take the ends of the net and scrub until you get bubbles...

Vacation Day 2–Breakfast and Muji

Sunday morning was spent with a wonderful breakfast at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at A. Venue. We ordered Brek O’Day which included some bread, butter, strawberry jam, scrambled eggs, chicken sausages and dried apricots and dates with syrup. We upgraded this to include hot choco. One set costs around Php225. The bread was good but I didn’t like the chicken sausage. The skin was too tough so I had to scrape off the meat inside. I don’t eat hotdogs because I can’t digest them. I thought the chicken sausage would be a good alternative but I was wrong. At least I was able to digest them. I liked the dates but not the apricots. I think it wasn’t a good combination. The apricots were too bland and chewy.I don’t like spending too much time chewing my breakfast.  Starbucks’s signature hot chocolate still rocks. We also got one of these: The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Swirl Card This is like the advantage card for coffee and tea lovers. You get points every time you buy and you can use ...

Sorry, I’ve Been Busy

I have a ton of things to blog but I’ve been busy in the hospital. I will try to write tonight. I still owe you days 2 and 3 of our quick getaway, a lot of back log posts and tons of reviews. In the mean time, let me leave you with my finished products in October. It’s amazing how much products I consume every month…   Human Heart Nature Massage Oil – Repurchase? Probably not. St. Ives Renewing Collagen Body Wash – Repurchase! Bath and Body Works Cucumber Lotion – a gift Pantene Hair Fall Shampoo and Conditioner – Repurchase? Definitely not Maybelline Makeup Remover – Repurchase? Absolutely! Penshoppe Juniper Body Butter – I would repurchase but this is a limited Christmas edition thing Elianto Clear Polish – I probably won’t. I really like Etude House’s. Caronia Nail Polish – I’m hating Caronia now because they dry up so fast. I really like this shade but it dried up even before I got half of it. Such a waste of money… Maybelline lip balm – This was great until my lips st...
