Travel Makeup and Toiletries

I love reading blog posts about travel makeup and cosmetics. I’m curious as to what other gals bring with them when they travel. I know Michelle Phan brings a lot of stuff with her. I try to avoid bringing a lot of big bottles and containers so I stock up on travel sized cosmetics so that when I need them, I just get them from my stash. I also like bringing sachets and things that I can easily discard so that I have a lighter luggage when I go home and more space for pasalubong and stuff that I bought. For my trip, here’s what I brought: These are my toiletries. I have more in my other kit. This is the kit that my friend M gave me for Christmas. Here’s my makeup: From left to right, top to bottom. Leopard Love palette, VS Concealer palette, Too Faced Fairy Edition palette, Estee Lauder palette, wedge sponge. Etude House BB Cream, TBS mascara, MAC Girl Boy, Paul & Joe Foundation, Maybelline Gel Liner, Bobbi Brown Corrector. Too Faced Eye Primer sample, Bobbi ...

Green Grape Shiffon

This is my current obsession. I bought this because I fell in love with the smell. I’m not used to applying lotions and body butters before I sleep because I don’t like that sticky feeling when I sweat but this is an exception. I apply this morning and night after bathing. I love grapes – grape fruit, grape juice and grape scents so this one is right up my alley. If you are not fond of fruit scents, better steer clear from this product. It’s sweet smelling but not overpowering. I love that the scent lasts for a long time although the cream itself is not very effective in moisturizing my super dry skin. If you have normal skin, you are in luck. I’m almost done with this tub. I will not repurchase for a while as I have a ton of lotions and body butters to finish but I will definitely buy another tub some time this year.

December 2012 Nails

This post is late but better late than never. In December, I went for reds and sparklies to go with the festive mood. The top one is from the OPI Burlesque collection. The second one is from Etude House. The third one is Glee for OPI and the last one is a combination of Burlesque and Glee. For January, I will go for green polishes. I just hope I have enough greens in my stash to last me the whole month. I really like this system as I get to finish a lot of bottles.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

This is my current facial wash. It’s cheaper than my favorite The Face Shop cleanser but has the same effect. It clears up my skin and helps heal any breakouts. This is my first bottle and I’m already halfway through. MB will be using this soon and I’m sure he will like it too. The product is light and smells like the tea tree spot treatment. If I have it too long on my face, it stings a bit and has a minty effect so I make sure to rinse it off quickly. I will probably hoard this once it goes on sale. This is great to use if you are prone to breakouts especially when that time of the month arrives.

T. LeClerc Eyeliner Pen

I have totally forgotten about this product! This is the best eyeliner pen I have ever tried. It’s quite expensive for an eyeliner but it’s really worth it. The tip is fine and flexible. It is also sturdy enough to make different styles of cat eyes. I like the fact that it lasts long and the product in the pen does not dry up easily. It does dry quickly on my lids that is why it’s my favorite. I don’t have to close my eyes and stand in front of the fan. It dries almost immediately after application. This is available in Rustan’s and if I’m not mistaken, costs around Php1,000.

Boi-Ing!

This is still part of the Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic palette. These are Boi-Ing 1 and 2. I already hit pan on both because these are my everyday concealers. I combine both to get the perfect shade. I use this under my eyes, on the sides of my nose and on other blemishes. They’re really good and last the whole day. Sometimes they crease on the area under my eyes, sometimes they don’t. It all depends on the condition of my skin. I can’t wait to finish this as I have more concealers to use.

Benefit Lemon Aid

I am busy preparing for a trip that is why there is a scarcity of posts. Anyway, I will blog tonight as much as I can to make up for lost time. Here is Lemon Aid, part of the Confessions of a Concealaholic palette. I did not bother to make it pretty. After all, this is how most girls use their make up unless you’re OC. I took the photo in December. I already hit pan on this but I still have a long way to go. Lemon Aid’s texture is similar to Elianto’s eye primer. I use my fingers to apply this so that I can distribute it evenly on my lids. It has a yellow tint and it goes on yellow on my lids too. It’s yellow to help brighten the dark spots on your eyes. If I don’t blend this properly, it creases and cakes. It does not make drugstore eyeshadow last longer although it does an okay job with the high end ones. Urban Decay shadows work best with this probably because it’s a really good eyeshadow brand. If you wear your make up in the morning, you would have to retouch after...
