106,299 Reasons to Keep Creating

August ended with 106,299 views on Glow. Six figures. There is something a little surreal about typing that number, especially when I think about what a view actually represents. Somewhere, someone opened a page. Maybe she came looking for an answer. Maybe a photograph caught her eye. Maybe she was curious about something I bought, wore, tried, made, or thought about. Maybe she read one piece and wandered into another. And somehow, all those small moments added up to 106,299 . What makes August even more special to me is seeing just how far Glow traveled. To everyone reading from the United States, Norway, Seychelles, Brazil, Germany, Singapore, India, Vietnam, France, and Pakistan , thank you. These were Glow’s ten biggest countries for the month, and seeing places thousands of kilometers apart gathered together on one little analytics page never stops feeling remarkable. And to everyone reading from everywhere else, including my quiet readers here in the Philippines, thank yo...

Holday Fridate Part 3: Venice Grand Canal Mall - Flying Tiger

Quick Update Hello, Glow Girls! I’ve missed you! A lot has been going on in my life lately. I have another big order, so I’ve been working in the atelier. Then Lady Flo visited, and you know how I take care of myself when she’s around. Just type Flo on my search bar and you’ll find several articles on my slow soft luxe lifestyle when she’s around.  I was also tasked to be in-charge of an ebook that’s gonna take about 18 months to develop. But for now, my priority is getting that huge order out by Sunday.  Anyway, let’s continue this series.  After Power Plant, we went to Venice! In Taguig that is. 😆 And what do you know? The first store that greeted us was… Flying Tiger!! But the front display shelves were empty! 🤣 Hey, why didn’t I pay attention to that straw tote?? I wanted to buy those small pumpkins, but no space to display them  The autumn collection is really nice! Also wanted to buy these houses, but again, no space!  The lamps were $8 while the ...

Holiday Fridate Part 2: Art Bar

Hey, Glow Girls! I was busy at the atelier yesterday, so part 2 was a little delayed.  Let’s get the show started then.  Our next stop was another favorite - Art Bar! (I wish we had more Art Bars near my place.) This set costs about $180.  I have been manifesting this Caran d’Ache Neocolor II.  I was so surprised to find them here!  From what I remember, they weren’t there the last time I went to Art Bar.  There was a whole display dedicated to them!  This set costs $80 They also had the Neocolor 1 but since I’m a watercolorist, I chose Neocolor II Oh, these pastel colours are so lovely! But I don’t do a lot of acrylic painting. My son is the acrylic painter.  Mont Marte acrylics are pretty good though, if you’re trying out acrylic for the first time. I highly recommend them.  I will probably get these next time. I may not paint with acrylics, but I’m slowly getting obsessed with acrylic markers.  Oh, how I wanted these glitter pens, but...

Holiday Fridate: Power Plant - NBS, Healthy Options, Fully Booked x Kinokuniya

It was a holiday last Friday. I was supposed to stay home and do some work. My husband also had to have the car fixed. But when I woke up, he said it was already fixed as he left early.  So, I changed my plans and asked him to go out.  At first I only wanted to go to Power Plant.  On the way there, we passed by The Oakwood.  The birdcages near the infinity pool were very popular back then when the hotel first opened. I believe you can sit inside while you lounge by the pool. They’re beautiful. But from my view: Metro Manila cable spaghetti! 🤣 We also passed by my old school, Ateneo.  I took photos of the escalator from parking.  I showed the beautiful mood lighting to my friend.  Of course Power Plant thought of making your experience a pleasant one the moment you enter.   I looked up and click! Our first stop was NBS.  I saw this copy of The Art of War and thought how pretty the cover was. There are other classic titles in the same p...
