Waterproof Length

I have this thing for trying out different mascaras. I can’t just stick to one. I think if you’re a long-time follower of this blog, you’ve already noticed that. I’ve had my share of ups and downs with mascaras but this one is definitely an up:

It says “length and waterproof” on the cover. Both check. I need to use my oil based Etude House Lip & Eye makeup remover for this. For the length part, see Exhibit A:

This was taken in the afternoon while I was on duty in our booth. There’s nothing special about the wand but it works:

What I like about this mascara is there are no annoying smells, it doesn’t clump and it doesn’t claim all that hullabaloo. It does what it says – it lengthens and it’s waterproof.

The wand is a bit thin though and I always fear that it might snap so I always carefully put this back into the tube. It doesn’t smudge on my lower eye area so that’s really good news as I’ve tried a lot of mascaras claiming they don’t smudge but they always do.

If you want this mascara and would also like to save a few bucks, I have another one available at Hyphen for only Php1,400. Yes, it’s authentic Shu Uemura. We don’t sell fakes at Hyphen. I get ticked whenever people say that my NAKED palette and other Sephora/UD  products are fake. Just letting off steam here. = )

    This is why I spurn stuff being sold at most online stores.
    Good thing there are trusted shops like yours.

    Tama lang a fair price for an uncompromised item.

    this seems like a good mascara but i still have the bobbi brown i won from your giveaway and i loveeeettt!!! <3

    missE, how is this compared to Clinique High Impact and Maybelline Great Lash thingies. or that Shiseido Volumizing. waterproof din naman kase sila eh.

Alone Time

My good friend Kitten and I were supposed to go out yesterday but she had some unexpected things come up. I needed to buy some stuff as I am packing for a trip and so I went alone. Soft Luxe Travels: Day 1 - The Journey to Vigan Part 1

In this post, we will start our journey to Vigan! The Night Before After packing our things, I did a few things for myself to help me relax and decompress so that I can sleep. I'm a night owl and not used to waking up early nor sleeping early, so I have to be strategic.  I painted my nails that night after all my chores, so that the nail polish wouldn't chip.  However, I forgot that I needed to make pressed sandwiches for our breakfast the following day!  Because really, what’s a road trip mom without freshly painted nails and a last-minute kitchen hustle? 😂 So, I had to do a lot of washing and hoped for the best that my nail polish will not chip! Holiday State of Mind

  Sometimes, a quick escape is all it takes to reset the spirit. Tagaytay always gives me that holiday state of mind… Even a short drive can feel like a retreat when your heart is ready to embrace rest. My son successfully finished his recital last Sunday and as a reward, my sister treated us to Tagaytay yesterday.  Getting Ready for the Trip I decided to use my BYS Golden Hour Palette for today's look. Makeup, for me, is part of the ritual—it sets the tone that today is special. Here are the swatches: From top to bottom: Polaroid, Candid, Aperture, In Focus, Portrait, Panoramic In Focus is slightly wet, like something between a liquid and cream eyeshadow. The color is gorgeous! I love Panoramic, too!
