12 Things I'd Be Buying at Mumuso Right Now (If the Rain Would Let Me)

Today’s weather forecast: torrential downpour + a very real craving to roam around airconditioned aisles and touch everything pink and pastel.

It's been raining for a week. The skies would brighten up for an hour or two then dark clouds would dramatically enter like a K-drama lead, complete with a wind machine. I was supposed to go out today. But the weather said stay home, stare at the wall, and contemplate life.

So instead of braving the heavy rains and getting my hair ruined by  howling winds, I’m making a list (and probably checking it twice tomorrow, purse in hand).

These are the 12 things I'd be buying at Mumuso right now, if the rain will just let up!

1 & 2. Avocado and Mango Sponges

I am obsessed with fruit-shaped sponges. The curves and the shape work really well on my face. I already got the peach sponges in the middle, but I haven't tried them yet. I already put them in my lineup though. The Miniso avocado and strawberry sponges are lasting longer than expected. They look like they were made by the same manufacturer, so I have high hopes for these Mumuso variants.

3. One of those Hyaluronic Acid Products

I used my Eunyul Hyaluron Sheet Mask today and my skin really loved it. Maybe my skin will find a best friend in one of these products, too!

4 & 5. A bunch of these eye masks

I love pampering my eyes, but have neglected them over the years. I do have that white box, but have yet to try it. I want to get those red and black boxes next time.

6. Hand Masks

Yes! Need I say more? Just look how dry my hands are from all the chores!

7. Foot Masks

Dry hands, dry feet. I'm always barefoot upstairs, and love wearing sandals. But then again, I've always had dry feet, so maybe it's not the footwear. I'm gonna try this one of these days.

8. Blackhead Clearing Face Scrub

My skin feels so clean, fresh, and light everytime I use a charcoal wash. I feel like the charcoal really pulls out deep-seated dirt. I've been using this White Seed scrub, but It's always out of stock. I'd really like to find a backup, or something I can rotate with to make my White Seed scrub last longer.

9 & 10. Camellia and Osmanthus Toners

I've been using the Calendula Toner for a few weeks now and I've been getting better and better results day after day. That product deserves a decent review. Stay tuned for that.

11 & 12. Lime Refreshing Body Scrub and Vitamin C Foot Scrub

I love scrubs, period. I treat myself to one every Spa Saturday.  I'm very excited to try several of these scrubs that Mumuso offers.

13. Grape Body Scrub

I have the Nourishing Nail Polish Remover in Grape and it smells wonderful. I'm getting good vibes with this body scrub, too! These scrubs better get ready once I finish my Voi Body Scrub!

14. A bunch of those sheet masks

I can never have enough sheet masks. I always have some chilled and ready. They're 15 minutes of quiet that whisper to my face, "I see you. And I honor your healing journey."

Yes, that's over 12 things, but you know how we Glow Girls are. We walk into a store with a list in hand (or in my case, a vague list in my head), and we walk out with 2-3 items more (or in my case, double the amount of items on my list 🙄😊).

I really hope the rain will let up soon, but my son says that a typhoon is going to make a second landfall in Benguet and he's sure that it will affect us here in Manila. I already have cabin fever and have been dreaming of discovering beautiful items in the mall for days.

What's your rainy day shopping fantasy?

Alone Time

My good friend Kitten and I were supposed to go out yesterday but she had some unexpected things come up. I needed to buy some stuff as I am packing for a trip and so I went alone. I actually enjoy going out alone as much as going out with girlfriends or MB. It gives me a chance to eat whatever I like to eat and explore new restos. It’s also nice to take my time when shopping. After paying my bills, I had a late lunch at Toast Box: I love Hainanese Chicken. I sometimes cook this dish but it’s too tedious so I settle for eating out. I’m so happy that there are now restaurants that serve proper Hainanese Chicken. Well, except that one above was sooooo bloody. It was swimming in blood when I pulled the meat apart so I had it changed. You know what Gordon Ramsay says, bloody chicken is poisonous. This is the second time I ate at Toast Box and in both times, the chicken was so bloody. After lunch, I started shopping. First stop was Beabi where I bought these: The Sakura thermos on...

Soft Luxe Travels: Day 1 - The Journey to Vigan Part 1

In this post, we will start our journey to Vigan! The Night Before After packing our things, I did a few things for myself to help me relax and decompress so that I can sleep. I'm a night owl and not used to waking up early nor sleeping early, so I have to be strategic.  I painted my nails that night after all my chores, so that the nail polish wouldn't chip.  However, I forgot that I needed to make pressed sandwiches for our breakfast the following day!  Because really, what’s a road trip mom without freshly painted nails and a last-minute kitchen hustle? 😂 So, I had to do a lot of washing and hoped for the best that my nail polish will not chip! Luncheon meat, eggs, Kewpie Trust me, it tastes better than it sounds at 11 PM while trying not to chip your polish. That night, we also tried the Ube Halaya from Amira's. This was from our trip to Tagaytay . I'll try to make a review of this on my food blog . With everything prepped, I finally let myself drift off—half excit...

Holiday State of Mind

Sometimes, a quick escape is all it takes to reset the spirit. Tagaytay always gives me that holiday state of mind… Even a short drive can feel like a retreat when your heart is ready to embrace rest. My son successfully finished his recital last Sunday and as a reward, my sister treated us to Tagaytay yesterday.  Getting Ready for the Trip I decided to use my BYS Golden Hour Palette for today's look. Makeup, for me, is part of the ritual—it sets the tone that today is special. Here are the swatches: From top to bottom: Polaroid, Candid, Aperture, In Focus, Portrait, Panoramic In Focus is slightly wet, like something between a liquid and cream eyeshadow. The color is gorgeous! I love Panoramic, too! Polaroid is a bit chalky and not as pigmented as the shadows in the Queen Bee Palette.  Here are the face shades: Highlighter: Illumination Contour: Ambiance I haven't tried Illumination yet, only Ambiance. I used it on top of my BYS Bronzer. It's a buildable powder, a littl...
