From Piano Day to Glow Day

Some days begin in the most ordinary way — errands, routines, and schedules that feel predictable. I got one of those days last week. My son had his piano lesson, and I thought it would be just another Tuesday. But God had other plans — little reminders of His goodness, tucked into ordinary moments.

It was my first time to drive again after 4.5 months because of a toe injury. A lot of parking spaces were closed and we had to park a long ways from our usual spot.

Used my new Hello Kitty tote for the first time!

This is the bag that we got from Uniqlo that I mentioned in this Weekday Whimsy Diaries post

A Soft Luxe Stop at H&M 🛍️

After piano, we passed by H&M. I wasn’t planning on buying anything, but a blouse instantly caught my eye.

For a moment, I hesitated. But then I thought — why not? Fashion isn’t just fun, it fuels this blog. Every piece I bring home becomes part of the stories I share with you, Glow Girls. I also found several little pieces that felt like they were waiting for me.

So, I decided to treat myself. Each item was a small reminder that sometimes, the best way to keep glowing is to choose joy in the little things.

Look at the discount on that bag!

100 Days to Christmas 🎄

When we got to the mall, we saw a glowing sign: 100 Days Until Christmas. Immediately, my mood lifted.

Christmas has always been a season of joy for me — a time of warmth, giving, and soft moments with family. Seeing that sign reminded me that the best is yet to come, and that everyday errands can still hold bits of magic if we look for them.

An Unexpected Gift 🎁

Then came the biggest surprise of the day. Circuit was giving away gifts for the first 100 customers to present a receipt worth at least Php800.

We had two receipts and there were two of us, so we walked away with 2 gifts!

Here's what's inside:

A full size bottle of The Eco Shift Ray of Sunshine Liquid Hand Soap

and a bar of soap in each pouch!

A quick check on The Eco Shift's website revealed that one bottle of the hand soap costs ₱250 ($4.36).  We got two so that's already ₱500 ($8.73) in value plus the bar soaps!  It's like I instantly got a portion of what I spent.

It felt like a wink from the universe — a reminder that sometimes, when you say yes to joy, the blessings find their way back to you.

A Few More Things

We went to Dunkin' Donuts to finally have some decent doughnuts after this doughnut catastrophe. Then we went to the supermarket to buy some vegetables for shrimp sinigang (a sour soup dish).

I was wondering out loud why the radishes were so small and skinny!

I forgot to take a photo of our box of donuts. This is what's left after 3 days. My son demolished that half piece after I took this photo and my husband got the last donut.

Glow Lessons 🌸

What started as an ordinary piano day turned into a Glow day filled with fashion finds, early holiday cheer, and unexpected gifts.

I realized that:

🌹Investing in yourself is never wasted.

🌹Everyday errands can hold extraordinary surprises.

🌹Joy often shows up when you least expect it (like from a box of donuts).

So, Glow Girls, my reminder is this: don’t wait for big milestones to celebrate life. Even a blouse or a bar of soap can remind you that you are loved, provided for, and worthy of joy. 💛
